I am really disappointed that we can no longer get essences with snowmen. It was the only fest I could actually get cata I wanted. I hate the ring and how it dominates everything. It was nice having one fest were I I could just make the pets I wanted to make. I typically want to do projects with very specific traits which means I need to make a ton of pets in the hopes (more rng) of getting at least some of those traits. I can pretty much forget doing anything with the fabled species now. I was really looking forward to being able to do any of the species. :-(

Hey just curious with the end date of Winter Fest will there still be a Week of Love event?

I agree with Faeyla. It was one of the things that made Winter fest special and different. Rng is rarely kind to me and, although I love to support the site by buying diamonds, having something that is not gambling made a really refreshing change once a year.

Agreed with the snowman exchange. I have the worst RNG luck and I was looking forward to getting the catalysts I actually want >.<
I still purchase the diamond packs regardless but still.

I too would like to say that I prefer the snowman exchange. Being able to just choose the cata/essence you want was wonderful. If we could perhaps have the exchange back or something similar it would be an awesome thing. ^-^

The thing I looked forward to for winter fest was the no-RNG getting of catalysts. It sounded like a refreshing change to getting dozens of one cata, but none of another, and having to trade, or rely on players generosity (which there is a lot of) in order to complete the tasks or get the pets you want.

I also liked that it was different. While I like that many of the same things return each festival with reskins, I also would love it if each festival had their own 'gimmick' to make them unique from one another. Spring fest had the communal flower and wandering named when a flower had bloomed, and winter fest had insta grow and snowman exchange. It makes each fest exciting, and not just 'another fest' where, if you dislike a mechanic from one fest, you are going to like that mechanic in a different fest. It gives each fest uniqueness and something for players to look forward to during that fest only. (hope Iexplained that clearly)

Otherwise, still happy for the avvie items, and can't wait for a theme list, so still happy with the fest, just wish that at the very least snowman exchange was kept.

i feel like this is another ' this may have been ok if we had warning ' thing. each fest this year has had some sort of huge change w/ no warning ( minus fall fest, that was ok )

The rewards for doing Snow Wars seems a tad wonky this year. Made it to 2* and still getting only one thing at a time. Tho there have been a few times I have seen two things, but its mostly just one. I hope it isnt like this ALL the way up the tiers..

And Im really hoping there will be something that will replace the snowmen exchange since thats been retired. Its looking really ominous in trying to get all the fableds this fest, and all I want is my vene ;`( People have already thought about giving up on the fundle task. Albeit its Day#1.

By chance will the haunted house esque way of getting catalysts become the norm? Or will there be a summer shoveling type of thing again where you could collect x amounts of them to dig them up?

I must say, the boss drop rates are very low. I haven't claimed any avatar items from bosses, apart from a blue rarity held (which I got once). Not too happy about that.
