Amalie gestured at her tiny wings. "These are not made for long distance travel."

Reuvan gave a cursory glance to his own wings. "Neither are mine." Too small. He didn't have the giant wingspan that raptors had, or seabirds. "You could always go by land too...and sea."

( lol for the avian/harpy species I'm using this as Reuvans wing-to-body ratio

which is even a little bigger, considering that a common kestrel is a big bigger than a songbird.

those might seem giant but....like... compared to something like

Amalie shrugged. "TOo many sirens in the ocean for my sanity, forest is too dense on land. So I mostly stay put and maybe fly around the area if I want adventure."

Reuvan shrugged. Whatever, it really wasn't any of his business. And he definitely wasn't fit to tell anyone how to live their life.

He took a few steps back. He had to get going before the sun set. Reuvan rustled his wings a bit, loosening them up, preparing for another few hours of flying.

Reuvan just nodded, giving her a brief twitch of his fingers...a wave? A very quick wave.

He shook his wings out to their fullest, got a run on, before jumping as high as he could. His wings, very quickly caught the air and with a few slow flaps he was far above the ground gliding on a strong wind.

Reuvan liked taking off, and he was good at it, the plus to having smaller wings is that it was easier to get up into the air from the ground. But he knew that everytime he hit the sky, he'd have to come back down again.

Eventually.

He didn't look back.

Crap crap crap---

I swear I hadn't seen the guy, he was just there all of the sudden! .....Or maybe Reuvan had just been tired and unfocused, dulling his senses and therefore resulting in the crash. Dammit usually I'd been able to dodge something like that.

Reuvan immediately landed, rolling the other person onto their back to see if they were still alive.

Reuvans arm throbbed where the other guy had hit it.
