(Not sure if you can make taxidermy out of a werewolf but hey at least it'd look cool in the dining hall.)
Lowell Brichalles
He snarled at the guards, blocking their sword strikes with his own. His fur crackled with poorly controlled lightning magic, razing the vicinity and torching the floor of the study. One of the guards dropped dead, having taken the shock of electric through his sword and up through his heart.
The other two flinched back momentarily as Lowell shoved out of their way and bolted out the door and down the hall, trying to conserve his remaining energy.
Thankfully for him, the night was still young, but he knew as well as anyone his magic wasn't infinite and the more he fought while changed, the harder he found it to control. If he wasn't careful, there was a good chance he could inadvertently light this whole palace ablaze.
Now wouldn't that be a sight.

He had hoped to avoid running through the noble party itself, but among the other exits at his disposal, this seemed the easiest. The amount of people through the room would restrict the guards movements through the ground floors. It was enough to bank on, hopefully there was no one foolish enough to try to help them.

(xD)

More guards appeared, chasing him through the hall. The palace was already in a frenzy, with the appearance of another assassin. And a werewolf at that. Seeing where he was heading, they alerted the guards at the hall, making sure to close off his path.

(Pfft I wouldn't be surprised lol. For all his flightiness, he's not that much of an idiot xD)

(Orca, Nic and Phoenix are going to be even more traumatized if they end up in another Open Seasons-esque RP
Oh gosh, giving Phoenix a lower rank than Nic was probably not a good idea
You know what, Phoenix is now acting more like Erwen did in my story-thingy after she threw a knife at him.)

Phoenix whipped around as she heard footsteps behind her, hoping it wasn't some other royalty from Bildernia. Prince Nicote probably would not be very pleased with her for abandoning her post...
Well, flurries. This was probably more of a punishment.

Erwen scratched his head. How long had it been since he'd last seen Phoenicia? No, she didn't like that name, he remembered. Ah... twelve years ago? She had paid more attention in mathematics than him. She would probably know. But he still recognized her. He casually slouched against the wall and waved at her.

Phoenix stared at him, trying to decide whether to kill him, hug him, or run away screaming from him. Instead she settled with muttering, "You're an idiot."

Erwen faked a long-suffering sigh. "Please. I'm older than you."

"By one month, and that doesn't make you any less of an idiot."

"I didn't say I wasn't. That sounds kind of confusing. I didn't, I wasn't. Hmm."

"You realize I'm supposed to arrest you right now, right?"

"Which you are not doing. And you also-" he gestured vaguely in the direction he came from, "Can't catch up. The Phoenix is too slow."

Phoenix was definitely leaning towards the 'kill him' option when there was a tremendous crash from the study at the other end of the hall and she remembered what she had been doing. Two of the guards were already dead, maybe more. How had she not noticed? She cursed herself for letting her guard down. "Get out of here!" she shouted as she ran down the hall to intercept him, drawing her sword.

Erwen grinned as she dashed after the man who was also a wolf. "Not a chance."

Nicote frowned. Something was wrong. He oculd feel it in his gut. Plus, the knight who'd cme with them was nowhere in sight. "Why do I get the vibes I'm gonna get knocked out tonight?" He murmured to Nanita.

"You always feel that way."

"Yes, well, a certain knight is in boiling water right now for abandoning her post and she'd better have a good excuse." Nicote growled.

(like think about it, werewolves turn back to humans if you kill them, so you'd just have some tortured dude's head on the wall. That's some Viking level aesthetics going on there.
Guess that's fitting considering the level of barbarian going on right now.)

Armias Folcard
Of course, not even the processions downstairs were safe from the chaos. Guards had piled in to try to block exits and Armias found himself increasingly claustrophobic. Word had been spread of the attack on the Empress.
A werewolf assassin? The mere thought of such a vile, beastly bandit threatened to throw him into a hysteric fit. He just had one last week over a house noble's unruly mongrel pet, but this.. He had grown pale and clutched onto a table just to remain standing through his visible panic and surging hangover.

Ziva Elain
Ziva tried to calm the elven prince with a hand over his shoulder and her axe drawn for his protection. Beast or not, it wasn't getting getting the better of her. "Breathe, your highness. Rely on my axe."

Lowell Brichalles
"Nice of you to join me finally, kid." He panted out sarcastically at Erwen with a slight smile before letting out a resounding, snarling roar in warning to the guards that echoed through the hall along with a cascading crackle of electricity that surged in every which direction, collecting mostly at his feet.
"Really hope you got a place in mind for us to lay low after all this."
His sword pulsed again, driving him forward as he cleaved through another in his way, taking a few surface slices of his own to his sword arm from the guard's terrified attempts to retaliate before hitting the ground and getting caught in his electric.
His fur was matted and he was drenched in the blood of his enemies of his previous wound and that of the guards that had stood previously in his way.
He had shown no attempts at slowing his assault, but the exhaustion was beginning to slowly show on his face. Just a bit more..

(Even more so for the time period)

In the hall, Diana was absolutely furious. She purposely hired a werewolf assassin to rip the Empress to shreads, and yet not only did he alert the empires entire army, he failed to kill her. At this rate, by the time an assassin would succeed, she would most lkely already have an heir.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The guards noticed the appearance of another prospective threat, and now the palace was on comppete absolute lockdown. It would be a long night.
"Yes, it was raining," replied Erwen by way of apology. "Um, was I supposed to? Oh. Must have gotten distracted. Whoops."
He ducked a guard who had swung at him and slammed his left foot into his armored leg with as much force as he could manage, causing the man to stumble, momentarily distracted. Erwen grabbed a sword that had skittered out of the hand of a fallen guard. Were swords supposed to be this heavy? This was why he didn't carry around a sword.
He smacked the hilt into the guard's head while he was still trying to regain his balance and the man went down for what would be hopefully longer this time. Erwen had reservations about killing people.
"You know, this is a really nice palace, but we should leave. Probably. It is a good idea- Phoenix, don't!"
Erwen tackled his friend before she could attack, accidentally getting grazed by her sword in the process. He had no wish to see her killed any more than he wanted her to hurt Lowell, if she was even able to get in a hit.
"Get off me, you fool!" she yelped, thrashing to get the sudden weight off. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
Erwen was a good deal lighter than Phoenix and she shoved him aside easily. "What in the name of Xetmjir (don't ask) are you doing?!"
"Trying not to get you killed!" he protested. "Even though... aren't you supposed to be the enemy?" Since when had life gotten so complicated?
Lowell Brichalles
"I'll let you two figure it out later. Don't have the time to catch up right now." He growled, shoving a guard off him and into the stone wall as he cleared a path into the dining hall. The clink of drawing swords across it perked his ears up as he locked his eyes on the door.
"I'll cover you, kid, make a break for it." He shot a glance back at Phoenix, panting to catch his breath as he wiped a bit of blood from the side of his face.
"You better not try any funny business either. He might not want you dead, but my sword arm sure doesn't discriminate in times like this."
Ziva Elain
Ziva tightened her grip on her axe at the sight of the wolf and the rogue, daring them to move closer with her eyes as she kept her back against the now-hyperventilating Armias.
"He's not going to listen to you," huffed Phoenix, getting to her feet. Her sword was in her hand, at the ready, but she wasn't attacking just yet. She glanced at Erwen, who quickly assumed a look of innocence. "He'll run, sure, but he'll always find a way back. I can't ask you to trust me - I certainly don't trust you, but I'm sure you know he will."
Erwen wondered if she'd forgotten he was standing well within hearing range. "You think you're going to make it?" he asked, canting his head in the direction of the ten more guards now rushing across the hall.
