Hess just so happened to be walking out of that same inn from her nap. She saw Dex rush past, and thought about going after him. She decided against it, giving him a little bit more time to attempt catching her. Because it was funner that way.

The dog alchemist looked up at Hess, returning all of his shuffled belongings back to his leather satchel and followed her gaze to the man he had almost run headfirst into slipping away.
At least he was no pickpocket, Lyon confirmed, but this woman had a strange longing fixation on him.

"Do you know that man?"
He spoke up curiously and he stepped off the wall and brushed his robes off.

She turned to Lyon with a devious smile. " Not yet. But I assure you, we're about to get real close. "

"Sounds like a lot of mischief to me. Well, maybe it's a good time to head out of the capital.. I've had more than enough mischief in my life for one month."
He flicked his ears back, a bit surprised as he quietly considered something. "He seemed like a nice enough man though.."

" Maybe to you. But for me, playing a game of cat and mouse is no fun when I'm the mouse. "

"Cat? Mouse..? I'm sorry I don't really follow.. Wait..
Oh, oh, is he after you by any chance? Very disconcerting if so. I assumed this city would have been safe for a woman."
