Overpopulation is one issue; the devaluation of Fableds is another. The cooldown for all breeds overall should be increased to help slow the former. It's the decrease of Fabled value that is worrying, since then they're as good as Common. It's exactly because all cooldowns are the same that Fabled populations have the potential to increase just as fast as standard breeds. It's happening now with Griffis. It would make sense (at least in my head) to make the Fabled cooldown period at least 2-3 times as long in order to help increase the "limited" nature of these pets.

I've never heard of the debate onbreed-specific abilities, but in any case, I don't see what would be the problem? As Fabled, they should have the more special and highly sought after abilities. All the more reason to make them harder to breed and acquire.

Standard breeds should naturally be more common and larger in terms of population size than Fabled. Decreased prices for run-of-the-mill commons isn't a bad thing. It helps make the game more accessible to newbies. The spectacular Common breed offspring (y'know, ones bred with forethought and planning with regard to colours and genes instead of randomness) are always going to stand out and be worth a lot more, as they should.

You misunderstood xD I meant that the breeding cooldown period be significantly increased, but that they can produce at least 2 eggs each time they breed, with a decreasing chance of being able to produce up to 4-5 eggs. The increased clutch size is in part an offset for the longer cooldown period; but this means that the cooldown period has to be significantly long or the Fabled population is just going to increase dramatically.

Ohh. Forgot people mostly cared about fabled. lol, I treat them as any other pet because the zolnixis (often 6vis) and other 6vis pets are downplayed in value as much as fableds are, relatively.

I guess 2-3x breeding times makes sense to fix it, but it's a *bit* drastic. I never liked breeding restrictions, tbh. I'm foreign to other breeding games, but I don't like the idea of restricted breeding, whether people want them to be "limited" or not.

Speaking of "spectacular" pets with special colors and etc, shouldn't having "spectacular" fableds be in its own category and value away from "deflated" fabled? o,o (just wondering and wanna spark a debate if anything)

Your idea is good, if you haven't suggested it on suggestion forums already. A bit restrictive, a step towards dictatorial breeding, for my tastes, but it's my opinion lol.

There was a thread (before any fabled were around) asking for pets (regular pets, which were around at the time) to have special abilities (ie super attacks specific to each species, morkko have some bear attack and bulbori a dig attack, iunno). However, it would be unfair for all pets to be unequal and sway a preference based on their battle abilities, so that's why all pets are equal in battle, minus the slight base differences in their stats.

Yes, lighira is a fabled. xD

The list of fableds: ny'vene, lighira, nephini, ryori, and griffi.
lighira, ryori, and griffi are festival species. ny'vene are arena-earned. nephini appear in the wild randomly and rarely.

I have a hard time releasing my pets too. You're not alone. :c
