Le sigh.

Disappointment.

@Frawn

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it. There were so many other really nice designs in the thread, but that's the one that was chosen. If I collect more than one of them, it'll be purposely to crossbreed with the smoothies. I kinda wish we had just kept the emperors. :/

@Everyone

In other news, my 3-vis pudding hatched, and aside from the helmet (hidden leafy seadragon), she's a real stunner!

She will be available for breeding whenever she's matured. :)

Edit: First round of stat project is almost ready to hatch! Thanks, y'all, for all the boops. This is exciting! OvO;

@Starfire9250,
That sylvorpa looks beautiful. I'd love a pair for sylvorpas when you finish your project. :)

Me too. I was so stoked for something new. Then we got the Puddin'heads. And while the blues are nice, it's still more earth tones than I care for. So I was holding my breath for the next round of themed... And man. There WERE so many great entries! To choose something so similar to an already-established theme (that's even been released TWICE)... pretty frustrating.

Could it be time for a polite petition? Perhaps once our thread has outgrown even the private diamond lenders'? Beta phases are for listening to your player base, and we are starting to have a pretty unified voice about some things seamonkey-related.

Bleh, maybe I'm just grouchy.

In any case, your Puddin'head turned out so lovely! I can't wait for my 3-vis to hatch! ^.^

Honestly? Yeah, I kinda would like to politely petition. If not for this fest, then maybe for future fests. Why don't we get to vote on the themes? I would like that. TBH, I'm getting a little tired of dull, brown-based food themes. I mean, I've just sort of quietly accepted that half of the qitari themes look alike, and I respect that that may be the admins' taste, but would it have killed them to make the Sugar Plum main color a deeper purple? Something more vibrant than Pepto Bismal? And why are there two chocolate themes that look exactly the same? What is even the difference between Swirl and Fudge? I would like to know.

SparklingGanymede, I almost said something about voting on themes, but it occurred to me that we (VV!) are only a few people...and the vast majority of voters would be people who probably don't own hundreds of them like some of us. So I guess that means that what I want is to be pandered to because "I love them MORE". Which, obviously, isn't fair.

But, I do think it's acceptable that, as people who have invested a great deal into their Sylvorpa collecting/breeding/generating (and I know many of us have paid real money for some of those privileges), we should be able to bring our concerns and requests to the table. Admins pick the winners. They pick what THEY like, but maybe it's only because they don't KNOW what we like.

If that's the case, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with telling them?

And as for those Chocolate 'Vorpas...the Swirl is just a muted, duller version of the Fudge. They're pretty "meh". But! Of note, the Chocolate Swirl is the only Sylvorpa theme for which I've seen completed 6-Visible PB offspring.
