Kiyo had seen it too, his breath catching a bit in his throat.
He put out his cigarette, running over, kneeling down, and checking Wes over for a pulse he knew he wouldn't find with all the blood.
That.. man hadn't wasted a second to do this. And it was on his hands. He shook, trying to hold back tears for his fallen comrade.
Sure, he and Wes hadn't always gotten along and sometimes he felt like the man's doormat with Wes being the oldest member of the original group, but he knew he didn't deserve this.
And neither did Rei. She would be devastated.
He stood back up, disheartened, making his way back to the two and opting to leave the body there for the moment.

"..Th..That could have been any of us. I don't understand how anyone in their right mind could dare try to break into our hideout like this.. And do that. This city well knows and fears the influence we all have. Not even the police would do something so boldly idiotic.."
He held his head, exhaling. "Maybe he was a bounty hunter.. or vigilante. But he definitely wasn't with the police."

Mel | Residential Ara

Mel listened carefully to the conversation. She got most of it although some of the words were lost to a bit of the distance. Her brow was furrowed as her hand moved to her pistol just in case things got out of hand. She glanced worriedly at Luna, "That's what I'm afraid of, what if its not a battle of words. Evidently this dude is marked, would you have any idea of what his ability is?" She asked Luna.

(Hideout)
Kiyo had noted this and held up a roll of gauze to him, pressing it into Monty's hand.
"..I need to get in touch with Rei. Please excuse me."
He said solemnly, his normal cheerfulness dropped and his tone soft and saddened. He made his way to the back of the room, attempting to dial her cell phone.

"He can write on people. Telepathcically, which becomes physical ink. A bit painful." LUna shrugged.


Lishian fixed his eyes on her. "I believe I met one of your group earlier. Salvation Silence, correct? Well, I'm sorry but I am much too busy at the moment to join anything else, so please tell your folk to stop being creepy and stalking me." At the "creepy" he activate dhis power and wrote it across her face. "By the way, enjoy your new tattoo. Your friend has one as well, though much nicer." Lishian faux-cheerfully half-walked half-skipped down the sidewalk, towards LUna's house.

Mel | Residential Area

"Oh dear." She said as she looked toward Lishian, "I doubt she'll take that well." Mel had made her way down Luna's house and was making her way down to Lishian, her mind raced with things she could do.

Rei
(Residential area)

She was playing nice before, but now he had ticked off the wrong person. She almost instantly summoned a string of vines to wrap themselves around Lishian's wrists and ankles, holding him in place. She made carefully sure that her vines found their way in between his fingers, straightening them out and preventing him from writing any further. Her movements were swift, much like her vines.

"I believe you have made a mistake sir. You've shown me that Hospitality and respect mean nothing to you, thus your life means nothing to me. I hope you have no family. The way I plan on leaving you would be a terrible way to find their relative. Just let me know when you change your mind about me and my offer."

Her vines' thorns began to grow, the vines crawling up towards his neck, soon to strangle him should she be there long enough to go through with it.

"I almost feel sorry for you. Too bad no one is here to help."

Her phone rang and her thorns slowed for just a moment.
"What is it? I'm a bit busy at the moment."
Despite the distraction of the call, she kept her eyes right on lishian

Mel | Residential Area

Mel froze as she stared at Rei. She was fairly close to where Lish was, but she kept her distances as she observed what Rei was about to do. She frowned straining her hearing to see if she could detect anything from the call although from past experiences, she knew that listening to sounds from electronics was a lot harder and a lot less reliable
