Yep. Got a 99.
Not sure what my seating is.
According to the first chair cellist: "Nervous shaking is natural vibrato."

Cana's Not-So-Daily Update From the Floor
So yesterday, our Phys Ed teacher decided to torture us and made us do a bunch of conditioning, like 10 pushups, run, 10 more pushups, lunges, high knees, etc. It doesn't sound so bad but this morning I got out of bed and the floor attempted to high-five me in the face. I tried to sit down, got one inch down and fell the rest of the way because my legs noped.
And then we had a playing test, and apparently shaking from nervousness is good vibrato, and I handed my violin to my stand partner and she dropped it and broke the chinrest in half. I could just have used someone else's, but mine is a 3/4 size because I'm smol and everyone else has a full size so I had to compensate for that but I got a 99. Yay. Why couldn't you just have given me 1 extra point?
Blugh. I had a very violent dream.

In one of the tests I take for piano, no one gets 100. A judge gave a well known musician 100 once and got reprimanded so now almost no one gets 100. It's good if you get 90 or above now.
Oooooofffffff
I'm one a 1/2 size. Dont ask

I've played clarinet for nearly 50 years. I didn't major in music, but I did play in the university marching band, jazz band, non-major symphony and woodwind choir. Later I played in the Sunnyvale community symphony, made up of citizens who still played their instruments. It has been a lifelong passion and music still feeds my soul. I feel like it made me someone who had a drive to accomplish things, do what needed to be done even without someone standing over my shoulder, take responsibility for myself and my deeds, good or bad and be an organized and capable adult. I'm so sad that lots of schools have had to cut their music programs to keep books. Music is so much more than just a class.

I am very proud of being in orchestra. Not planning to major in music either, but it's still a big part of my life. I somehow fit in in that one class. I literally wrote an ode to music in English the other day.
50 years later, I am probably still going to practice violin and piano.

Oh that sucks about your violin xD About the exercise though, your body is only so sore because you don't do it often. Tis' the nature of getting in shape ;p If you do it constantly youll get used to it.

tbh, I haven't hadmto run a mile since 4th grade. I mean I probably walk it off everyday but. I'm pretty shocked i'm not, em, bigger, than I am to sugarcoat it xD

Hopefully getting back into playing badminton again will fix that running issue [lord knows I work my arms enough.] Oh also, I'm all sticky from playing earlierm[bouta hop in the shower] I managed to keep the birdie in the air for 10 hits! I rarely get a chance to practice with a partner, so I play a little game where I hit the birdie in the air and try in keep in there as long as I can.

Which with the crazy directions it likes to fly... means I run around the street alot and try not to faceplant.

Unfortunately I've already managed to break both of my birdies clean in half xD So now I'm waiting for the other one to fall off the roof.

Ha, my Malaysian cousin and I were playing badminton and spent more time trying to get the birdies off the roof than actually playing.
