She nodded deep in thought as she went to Alex and asked "Wasp or runes?" As she went toward the intersection. "I'd say runes, but if you want wasps that would work too."

Zach opened and shut his mouth like a fish out of water. "It's the Ceffyl Dwr's fault!" He managed eventually. The Ceffyl Dwr seems to laugh. "Also, thanks for getting me these." Zach says, securing the bow and arrows and handing you his dagger.
The kitsune disappears. Wait, he didn't disappear, he had just turned into his multi-tailed fox form. The fox paces nervously, obviously torn. "I don't want to turn you two into statues and the Ceffyl Dwr is already allies with Oran - it took forever to memorize which beings inside here are allies and which aren't." The kitsune hops onto one of the frozen beings, sitting down on the statues head. It looked between you and Zach to the biggest statue and back again. The kitsune jumps back down and starts pacing again. Finally the small fox flopped onto the floor and put his paws over his head, his tails randomly splayed on the floor.

"Not wasps sounds like a good plan." Alex whispers hoarsely, struggling to his feet and trying to walk normally despite having been sort of mauled by a feathered bear just a few moments ago.
The bear was keeping a close eye on you and Alex, not wanting his prey to escape - not that Alex would be able to run away easily.

"How long have you been here, kitsune?" She sheathed the other dagger on her waist. She seemed more interested in the fact that he said it took forever to memorize the monsters. "You... were a tribute too. Not dead, mostly allied with this Oran creature... So something had to have happened..."

"Call me Nikkie." Then the kitsune laughs sadly, "Actually, don't. That name belonged to a different me. I was indeed a tribute before. Um, I've been around here... For about two months, maybe more. It's scary to think how fast time flies here and how in such a tiny bit of time so much can change. And on the topic of being dead, I have died before, a helpful elf brought me back. And now I hate scorpions. The other tribute escaped. The price was my life-long service to Oran, a big meanie - I mean respected and revered - green beast that controls the Labyrinth. He takes different forms, sometimes a glowing ball of gas and other times a solid green beast I don't know how to describe." The kitsune shuffles his tails closer to him in a meager attempt to comfort himself.
Zach stands awkwardly to the side, not sure how to respond to this dump of information. The Ceffyl Dwr was nuzzling Zach in an attempt to gain attention.

Selene

"Kua... I forgot she got out..." her face turned sorrowful. She turned away from the kitsune. She stared at the horse. "Zach... we should get going. Before I say anything."

"You know Kua? How is she doing?" The kitsune says, bouncing to its paws and racing towards you.
Zach backs away from the kitsune and gently pets the Ceffyl Dwr in an attempt to help satisfy the horse.

Selene

"I can't tell you. It would break your heart. I'm sorry." She started motioning for Zach to get them both out of here.

"Runes it is." She whispered back. She continued walking back to the rune hallway. "Just over here." She said before whispering back to Alex. "We have to take a risk here, it's either being eaten, or being killed because these runes dislike us, but it gives us the smallest chance of survival."

"Is she dead?" The kitsune says, popping back into a human form in front of you and holding your shoulders so you would stop and face him. "Please tell me. I need to know."
Zach doesn't seem to understand what you are trying to motion for him to do. The Ceffyl Dwr is starting to walk towards the way you had entered in order to exit.
