I think everyone has made excellent points. My post might have come across as implying that I felt people were being unkind, when I actually thought you guys were being pretty lovely about it the topic. It was more of a thought for future discussion, but didn't come across very well! Frawn and SparklingG are right though, Krin/Fai are in the best place to decide their own busy-status, etc. I'm sorry for any very understandably ruffled feathers.

Pinging them this thread is a good idea. SpaceElf's post in particular was very illuminating. I'm not as familiar with the other species themes, so it was interesting to see the similarities there.

Just like to add, thanks for being such a great group. Discussing stuff with you guys is always a pleasure.

SpaceElf1, even I didn't notice that there were so many similar there's, and I'm on Sylestia all the time! Some of those colorations... There are vary similar.

When they set up the themed design was badly timed. There was no chance that they weren't going to be rushed in picking the new themes, particularly when they wanted to retire the old ones. And you're right. The designers should check and make sure they're making something new and not too similar to an old theme.

Hmm, perhaps we should suggest making it a rule that whenever they do a themed design contest, one of the rules be that the designers CHECK the advanced search FIRST and make absolutely certain that they aren't making what basically comes out as a cloned theme?

I'm really pleased there's a M2 that you like, SpaceElf. I have to admit the wings are a lovely addition, they're very well balanced.

On another note, my Sylvorpa stable is packed to the hilt, wit only two open spots in it.
So I'm going to look and see if I can't pick out witch DL offspring I don't need anymore.

I'll ping VV after I sort through them, and the ones I no longer need I'll part with to VV members for cheap.

At least I think it's the right design. It has the right name and it's pink. But the colors look bit different? I actually like this more then the theme we got.

There is a very good-natured and thoughtful discussion going on here about theme duplication that begins a few posts down on page 50 (admittedly, it begins with a fairly grumpy post about the Sugarplums, but it quickly evolves into something much more constructive). I think it would mean a great deal to all of us if our opinions here were taken under consideration prior to the release of the next round of themed pets. We recognize the kind of dedication and attention you devote to your very loyal player base. Your history of listening has given us the initiative to identify a trouble, discuss it from positive angles, and attempt to bring you our ideas and concerns.

Thank you for all you do. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels enriched by the Sylestia community, and I owe that to the passionate developers of this site.
