I squawk at him from my desk. "Don't freak out man, don't you think I would've woken you up if someone had come? Come on over here, there's something I want to show you."

He jerks his head in your direction and sighs, "Thank god. I almost had a heart attack." he slumps his shoulders and starts walking towards you.

"Well?" She raised an eyebrow.

I attempt to hide a smile, but fail horribly. "So I've been working on some drawings lately. There are a ton of pines and maples in our forest, so that's what I use. Pine logs for my desk, sap renewal when I need it, and maple leaves for paper. Oh, and these drawing rocks. They're really coals from used fire, but I like drawing with them. Then there's the Glow-greens in the walls. They light up my workspace, but don't touch any, they're carnivorous so they'll try to eat your finger!" I pause, working on my drawing again.

"You made some major enemies the few years you were alive and believe me you can't beat them like this. They're strong and have killed hundreds they know exactly what they're doing." his smirk dissolved and the look on his face showed he was serious.

As you said it he was reaching out to a Glow-green and had to stop before he touched it. He gave you a side glance hoping you didn't notice and pulled his hand away, "If you need pencil and paper I could get you some. I have my ways." he replied as he made his way next to you.

I don't notice him almost touching one, but look up before I speak, only catching his side-glance. "I'd really rather you not go running into a human-riddled place just to get me white paper. Plus, I actually prefer the no-effort green backgrounds. And it's completely natural, no processing and dying or whatever to get something green to turn white. So, no thanks. But feel free to look at some of my drawings." I gesture to the leaf-covered floor, inviting him over.

(I just realized while I was reading it over that I really like hyphens... side-glance, human-riddled, no-effort, leaf-covered, lol)

He walks to the desk and gets in his knees as he looks through the drawings careful not to crumple any of them or knock them off, "These are nice." he looks at you then looks back to the drawings as he takes his time sifting through them.

"Thanks. They're really all I do when I alone in my cave, sometimes I'll even stay up late drawing. Some of those are even some short stories, I do write occasionally too. It sometimes gets annoying when I run out of room, so my stories will usually be on the back as well. I save only the biggest leaves I find for writing," I pause, then ask, "What do you do when you're not risking being found out by exploring normal people areas in coywolf form?" I offer a silly grin.

"I was out at the dump one time and I found... a guitar." he replied with a smile, "I play. That's how I keep myself entertained, "I hardly ever go to my cave because I have to shift to play so I found my own place. Want me to show you where it is?" he asked as he read through a story.
