She tried to push the door open. "Now I know I can't let you go somewhere without me. You can't see, say, touch, or fly. And I admit, you were right. We couldn't trust the horse." She sighed and put her head down, tears still streaming down her face.

"I can touch. I feel things again." Zach notes, holding up his empty hand. "I know I can feel again because I can tell where I cut myself. And that you're holding my other hand." Then Zach smiles smugly, "I told you that the Ceffyl Dwr is/was not to be trusted."

The door swung open easily but noisily. Inside the door is a throne room looking place.
Royal colors were everywhere. It was much neater than the rest of the places in the Labyrinth you had explored so far.

(Oh no they're at the end I didn't predict this at all totally.)

She pulled him inside. "I'd slap you, but you're already hurt enough. And another room. A royal throne room. Whoever owns it has got to be rich. There's red a purple everywhere." She dropped Zach's hand and nervously looks around the room.

"Aw, thank you. I like not being slapped." Zach smiles, this time it wasn't a smug one.
A glowing green orb of gas was floating above the throne, somehow looking pleased even though it didn't have a face or anything. "Ah, good, good. You two have come. Unfortunately, I have to send you two back into the Labyrinth so you can never find the exit. I heard Nikki was helping you from a certain good companion of mine," the Ceffyl Dwr trots importantly to Oran's side, "And so he was properly punished. Now, if you two would so kindly give yourselves up."
The door slammed behind you, locking itself up.
Zach tenses, eyes flitting around the room desperately as they tried to see what was going on, but to no avail.

Selene

Instinctively, Selene walked in front of Zach and spread her arms out wide. "What did you do to Nikkie? And why should we give ourselves up?" "This glowing ball of gas is trying to make us turn ourselves in and the horse apparently told him everything until I sort of tricked it. You're welcome, Zach."

"And why should I tell you what happened to Nikkie? You should give yourselves up because I said so. I am the ruler of this Labyrinth and you can't stop me. I can do whatever I want." Oran says. The ball of gas floats forward, circling around you and Zach. "Or, instead of giving yourselves up, you can do a test. If you pass successfully, I won't force you back outside to where you will most certainly die. If you fail, I will just kill you. Or maybe I will torture you until you die. Who knows. I'll make up my mind when we get to that part - if you agree to that, of course."

"Thank you." Zach replies to the ' you're welcome ' reflexsively.

Selene

"Does this forcing outside means we never have the chance to leave? And this test pertains...?" She still stood in front of this so-called leader of the labyrinth.

"You are correct: never have another chance to leave. And the test. It pertains facing your worst fears. You can do it together or seperately, but you must face your fear." Oran says, bobbing in front of your face.
Zach visibly shudders behind you when Oran said 'face your fear'.
"Or past mistake. It could be that too." Oran says cheerfully.
Zach shakes his head, clearly not wanting to face a past mistake, "The ball of gas should make up its mind already."

Selene

"I've already met my past mistakes too many times. My fear is to let another innocent soul die by my hands. Either way I'll see death." She sighed, "And Zach also doesn't want to do this. But otherwise we can't leave. But I can't watch Zach die and be powerless to stop it. And if I see my past mistake that I think of every day well..." "It might not hurt as much. What do you think Zach?"

"Oh, yes, and my special one time offer - you can face both your fear and a past mistake if you want." Oran says as he waits for a yes or no answer.
"I don't know if I'll somehow be able to see. If I am not able to, I don't care either way. If I am able to..." Zach trails off, thinking. "I... I'll go with the past."
"Tick, tick, tick. Time is running out for you to choose." Oran says, bobbing next to the two of you.
