i think a sphinx-like creature or a jackal could be kind of cool.
or even something like a foo dog! which could , like, be laying on some sort of jade orb or something....might make sketches later.
here are a few sketches- ignore my terrible drawings

the spinx is on the top-
a big-cat-like creature wearing a egyptian-style necklace and bracelets with a scarab jewel on its forehead.it has two sets of wings, and a long flof of fur on the end of its tail.they also have long canines and claws

the foos are on the bottom.
they have long , curly, floofy manes and tails, males having a bird and back mane as well. they have giant bell colars around their manes, and are often carrying some sort of gem-stone-material orb or something.

It would be cool if you did a dolphin. I'm sure a lot of people would like that. *koff koff me koff koff*

(not sure if I'm supposed to ping you, so I didn't)

I don't think we have anything without legs yet, maybe you guys could make a fish-based Sylesti? A Sylesti with a shell would also be amazing :)

Edit: I made a super terrible drawing that could be a baseline for a shell sylesti... here it is.
<-- domestic animal/snail thing?

So This is a Momo I saw you had asked and figured i would put a picture

ANd this is a Naga It is technically a super awesome polar bear dog....

g
So It has the face and rear end of a dog and the body of the polar bear. It would be neat if it had tail Mutations like the nixi but looked larger like the Moroko so its not small like the nixi and lupora this thing Is huge and fluffy and amazing and I love it alot... It also gives the site another bear like species
addition I wish Naga had a snowlepord tail and some other features like that.... I still think he is awsome

House cats (Felis Domesticus (Not sure if I spelled it right) ) are my favorite animals, so y'all know I gotta suggest it.

I'm pretty sure I have requested this before but there are to many pages (and to many images ><) to dig though the posts again. Edit: Yep I Totally have

A Nudibranch. (Pronounced Nude-e-brock)

Now most might be going 'What the heck is that?' Well in laymans terms its a type of seaslug. But these are SO MUCH MORE. They are super colorful, super cute and totally poisonous tiny lil things that are actually rather popular (or at least popular enough to get a pokemon with two forms in the 4th gen pokemon games) and super adorable.

I will attempt to convince.

Wikipedia gallery
National Geographic Photoshoot

What else make these things adorable? Most of them are only a few centimeters long, and some can even sit comfortably on your fingernail!

As for names... well to steal from another pet site, there is always "Chromo" which is short for one of their scientific names Chromodoris but other such theft of scientific names makes a species name that would fit in as well. Triopha and Doridoidea are two that sound 'name ish'.

Genes and mutations would be easy as there are MANY varieties of seaslugs and nudibranches that come in a multitude of patters and colors, and a lot of the existing Sylvorpa mutations would adapt well to such a colorful species. Mutations could cover things such as differences in the back plumbs, head plumbs and 'extras' such as the now common 'snow swirl' or 'ocean waves' that swirl along or around instead of actually a part of the nudibranch.

In conclusion,
