Hello hello wonderful authors! This week's update is a bit different! I have my usual question: Which fictional universe would you choose to live in and why? Go as you are, with no augmented abilities or powers.

Next up! A drawing? thing? I have a story concept that I think I'll be turning into a comic (link to thread here when done) and I want your ocs! Please make sure you own the art or descriptions (it's fine if another sylestian or someone else drew it, but I don't want 'Chad from the MCU' or whatever). At the end of the week I'll draw 3 names and incorporate your characters into a story of mine. Winners will not be announced, but you will know if I decide to use your character. Please mail me these because I don't want to clog up this thread. Any posts with ocs in them on this thread will be disregarded.

Okay! My new story idea is called Supernova! I want to know what you think of it. It's set in a world that is 90% fantasy, 10% technology. A multitude of gods watch over the lands. Even the smallest village has a deity they worship. This leads, of course, to conquest in the name of whatever god you live under. A fraction of the people are able to use a magical energy, and their abilities are categorized. Our story takes place in a time of peace, in central ___
The main character is Kirin Lewin - a disgraced noble from northeastern ___. Kirin is the last of the Lewin line - his father was killed in a raid on their estate a decade ago. Three years later he was quite literally stabbed in the back by a 'trusted advisor' and his legacy stolen. He is an Elemancer, able to control the elements. He's not very good at it, and prefers to beat the heck out of his enemies instead. He is mainly motivated by revenge, and tends to put his own demands over the needs of others.
Sera Anteri and Wren __ are his companions. He finds Wren in a bar, and rescues Sera from monsters on the way to ___. Sera has a heart too big for her own good, and has no magical powers. Wren is a deserter from the southern war - their power is telekinetic manipulation.
Surprise surprise, the government is corrupt. that's all I have okay. Their big bad evil plan is called Project Supernova.
Ignore the ___s because I couldn't think of names fast enough! I did kind of want it to be classic fantasy evil gov dysfunctional heroes type thing.

so sci-fi-fantasy or like-- semi-modern/futuristic-mythology [you mentioned gods]? And I have a vital question for the storyline, are you planning a character arc for Kirin? How's it gonna happen and what're they gonna learn from it? Just a lil' curious about them, because of their whole 'revenge' plan, is it gonna be a 'Zuko' case? Y'know; "HONOR" *kills everybody*. :) Depending on the genre, I'm pretty sure I've an OC I can PM you with.

hehe I do. It's more of a 'I learn I'm not the only one who suffers' type thing before overthrowing the government. Also, you gave me an idea - it's all for his honour. >:) I plan for him to become more open-minded, as nobles are generally, for lack of a better word, pricks.
As for the world itself, it's more of a... think final fantasy meets zelda. or even better, zelda: breath of the wild. The gods are what give the people their powers - and the technology's more like magical technology? I guess? I literally came up with this in economics like two hours ago lol.
