"Hmm, you should be okay, then." Verius nodded. "Why don't you go check out the crime scene, then? Xan will take you." He gestured with his hand, and Xan set down the tea tray, straightening as he nodded to acknowledge Verius' order. M hummed softly, but made to move to go with you.

"Alrighty then." Micah rose from his chair, preparing to follow Xan. Here he went, straight into the thick of things. He dearly hoped that this would not end up to be a terrible mistake. He really liked to be alive.

Xan led you down the hallways, nervously fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. "Are you sure you're okay with this stuff? I know it's a lot to ask of you, who doesn't know much, but we do need the help..." He glanced up at you, and you saw worry in his eyes.

Micah looked slightly surprised at his concern, and nodded, "I am the one who followed you, so, I kinda got myself into this." He smiled reassuringly, surprise receding, "Though I do appreciate the concern."

He nodded, a bit more reassured now, although he was still fidgety. He walked up to the main doors and a pair of servants pulled them open, so he strode through, walking faster than normal and giving you a hard time catching up.

The stairs were not, for a fact, newly polished, but whatever. You stumble up the stairs and come to a hallway, lined with doors; five on the right, five on the left, and one at the end of the hallway. It looked like one of the rooms had been occupied, as the door was partially open and you could hear yelling from inside.

Just polished them ;3; April gulped, glancing around at the doors. She was afraid. She wished the shouting noise would stop, so she just stood there, stunned, staring along the corridor, confused and unsure what to do. She felt herself fade, not thinking about what to do. Her brain was dead stopped.

You stood there, unsure what to do and nothing happened thus. Diana's heartbeat was slowing by the second, and she needed a healer desperately. Your best hope was that the girl didn't hit a vein essential to life or whatever.

Xan was apparently the of self-tripping kind. Some people guilt-tripped others, and some people guilt-tripped themselves. Xan seemed to be the latter, always fretting.
He also liked to walk at running speed. What is with him and speed-walking? How does he even manage going that fast while still walking? Micah thought.

I just don't want to re-explain everything that happened (which would take a paragraph or two) 'cause I have terrible writer's cramp rn. We've been taking a lot of notes, and I had to do corrections. D:
