The forest gets thicker as you go deeper in. Soon you can't see or smell your friends in the distance. Birds chirp in the trees, and mice scatter when they here you coming
I wearily glance around the forest and decide to try to climb up to the top of a tree to get a good view of the layout of the land around me

Once you reach the top of the tree you realize you are in a large valley. Large mountains surround you, with a dense forest in the middle. At the very far end of the valley, there is a lake nestled at the bottom of a large mountain. The forest isn't as thick around the lake, and the mountain rises up beside it.
(very bad map of what you can see and where you are compared to everyone)

You come across a small stream, not even big enough for a fish to swim in. It heads down from the mountain, into the forest.

You follow the stream for a while, it doesn't branch off, but twists it's way through the forest. Looking up, you realize it's been 40 minutes and you need to get back to the group.

As you do, you see that the sun is slowly going over the water changing it from clear blue to a glassy orange purple color
