though no one was around there were blankets and pillows that lay in the cave closest to the shore and a few crates as well

I frowned. I didn't like the fact that other people might be here but it looked like Sloth could use some sleep. so I lay him down and make sure he's comfy

you felt warmer as yo sat still, and the boy closed his eyes as he leaned aginst the cold wall, as you sat you noticed the clothes he wore were not blocking almost any of the cold as his shirt had no sleeves and his pants only went halfway down his calves

As soon as he gets settled he closes his eyes and its hard to tell if he has gone to sleep or not before he speaks " S-sorry"

I look over at him in surprise, I hadn't expected him to apologize "Don't be! It's not your fault, besides you got me out of there." I reassure him then add "It must have been a hard flight, get some sleep"

I don't want to leave Sloth on his own but I fell uncomfortable sleeping with the fact that someone had clearly slept here and might come back. could I stand guard?

"So why doesn't he live there?" Emerie asked curiously as she felt the warm air chase away the cold,"Does he not want to own the island?"

I pressed my lips in sympathy. He reminded me rather of myself when i was younger, and of the poorer kids who often scurried around the village scrounging for food. I hesitated for a moment, then reached out and poked his shoulder. "Are you still cold?"
