I think this is a really nice idea! It would definitely be much more convenient. Being able to search for a specific person is extremely helpful. There were times I would have loved to double gifted with others but I didn't want to clear everyone who was already at my door when I might end up randomly giving presents to them at some point.

Yes please! Me AND my old computer would thank you for a set up more like this.
Honestly, I have never been a fan of the multitude of pop ups in this game, lol. They work, sort of. This afternoon something was slowing my comp down like crazy, I crashed three times trying to get the pop ups to complete the missions to work, and then again trying to navigate to the Barracks to set up a new one, and that was with a bookmark on the town to go to. You can imagine how much fun caroling is when the computer decides to be slow like this.
Oh, and I should add to the general discussion... I really liked that you added an Advent Calender, but like others was a little bummed it was so short. And the final prize, a Title? Hmmf, seemed kind of anti climatic to me. But then, I pretty much ignore titles in real life too, lol, so they don't mean much to me. Be that as it may, I was thrilled to see it. Honestly though, it's not so much about the items. On Neopets, they had (have?) a great advent, with each day getting a little animated cartoon, and usually an item and some gold with that. The items tend to get stockpiled by people like me, lol, the gold is a thrill but not enough to do much with. The animations for me were always the big draw. But honestly, they could be just cute little images and I'd be happy. Maybe have a contest in late November, asking people in the holiday spirit to send in drawings or artwork that you could use for the Advent calender? I think that would be a blast!

That would be nice, I think, to set it for specific people...etc.

The reason why we didn't do a full traditional Dec 1-25th Advent Calendar was because we didn't have enough time to get everything ready. The Fall and Winter Festival were back to back...which was poor scheduling on our part and we will space stuff out farther next time. Next December I will make sure that we are better prepared to have a proper Advent Calendar. :)

@Flute,
I like the idea of loading many at once
I think the shoo away button is a BIG no-no, though. If people got offended by the trick-or-treat game, they'd be even more offended by this.
An alternative/more effective way to shooing, would be bribing. You can leave a basket of gold/points at your door step. And anyone who goes to your door, fills their pockets with some extra gold/points and then auto leaves. Kind of like how people leave a basket of treats at the bottom of their door on Halloween. ;0
Even though a lot of people hated the competitiveness of trick-or-treat, the game element of it did make door to door more interesting to me. As such, I liked the Halloween version better.

I honestly put 'shoo'and 'throw away' and examples of negative options, like the 'trick' in trick or treat. xD mainly for humorous effect. (since lots of people were daunted from the carol crowds of 100+ and to some effect wanted to shoo them but instead just attempted to ignore their door lol)
I would think bribes would be depleted within a matter of hours. its an alternative to not answering the door, but I don't think that in itself is competitive. xD
If buying points wasn't an issue, I think competition isn't so bad. But because currency can be put in towards points, it isn't really competition imo. More options to me seems More like innovative. xD but if it wasn't for competition, I'd love it. I'd feel like no one was doing anything to get to the top or get the most points out of conning someone (which isn't the point but disregard my rambling)

Great! Will look forward to seeing what you do with the Advent Calender next year. Honestly, this (and the slow roll out of things) was the main thing that seemed rushed to me. I'm sure on your and Krin's end it was much different! lol
Another thing that would make the door to door stuff so much better would be a "doorbell" or button of some kind on each person's page, so that when you search for a specific person you can easily ToT, Carol or whatever the next one will be. It's not that hard to cut and paste people's id number into the carol url... but it is a hassle, and when you have to do that multiple times, say to trade gifts/candy/etc, it just gets old. I think a permanent door bell on each person's page would work the best, and could be used even when not in an event, just to say hi!
And I've said it before so I won't belabor the point, but the whole competitive side of the door to door activities really turns me off, period. There is enough on the site that is competitive, this doesn't need to be.

Hello, I haven't been able to get to the Festival Holiday Shop?
I have 91 Snowflakes, and have no clue what to do with them...
Has the shop been shut down? Or is it always going to be there, just open on holidays.
