Being summer I'm actually encouraged to go outside and enjoy the heat and watch the clouds roll by. So that's what I based mine off of, the nice partly(or mostly in this case) cloudy sky. |

What comes to my mind when I think of summer? Watermelon! Yes, watermelon. A delicious fruit I enjoy every summer with my family as I'm sure many others do. It may just be a fruit, but it brings my family closer, which is why I've decided to base my entry off of it.

The first thing that comes to my mind when someone says Summertime is, of course, Grilling! And my absolute favorite thing about grilling- other then stuffing myself with seriously delicious food- is watching the wood and coal glow hot underneath their ash. It's always come across as very symbolic to me, so of course I had to try and replicate that here!

With summer comes fishing times, water sports, ponds thaw, plants bloom, and time comes to see Koi fish In they're beautiful little ponds!!
Who doesn't love to see the pretty orange and white little scaley fish in their beautiful ponds? |

Growing up I would always wait for the sudden summer storms that would come ripping through every now and then. They would at times be pretty violent but typically, they would shake the trees and plants that the wind and rain moved over. Those storms are what inspired her. |

This fellow is based on the hail storm, complete with lightning. Such storms happen every summer.

My friend has been fighting fires most of the summer so mine is based on fire. The life line armor reminded me of magnifying glass when you get the sunlight just right and you can start a fire. This is a reminder that not all forest fires are bad. They clear old dead trees and brush and make way for new growth. A forest would slowly die if a fire did not happen every now and then.

Mine is based on a summertime activity I've done for years...visiting the Ice Cream Truck. The white and blue body represent how the truck in our neighborhood looks, with the yellow eyes and the red jewels on the Jeweled Armor represents the lights and stop sign. I chose pink Deinonychus for Genes 1 and 2 in order to represent a childhood favorite treat, the Screwball (a pink ice in a plastic cone with a gumball at the bottom).

Black Sea Lighira
Since I was young I spent most of my holidays at the Black Sea, Romania. I love the Black Sea and summer always remind me of its waters.
