In that case, the bones would harden, including the joints and the foot would likely lose the maneuverability that the larval stage had while in the water. Sorry, I've got to go with the first poster in that situation and suggest a slight redraw (while they're still working on it) of the hip.
On the other hand, that's larva shown, so it could be just fine as long as the adult form is not allowed the same motion or stance.

I'm loving them. My only question/concern is the coloration around the mouth. I'm hoping (really hoping) that they aren't all going to look like they just ate lipstick of whatever color. I'm sure it's just me on this. It just strikes me as an odd colorization. Loving the baby looks, and I may be one of the few that love the pose on the male.

Hopefully it's just a product of whichever gene they're using to depict them. Once we know which one it is, we can avoid it like it's a plague carrier.

That's just the gene, Myst lol. It's the same pink as the rest of the gene displayed. It would of course come in whatever color that gene happened to be in, not that pink always. XD

Wow, very nice pictures of them axolotls!
This goes back to the point I made about how nice it is for Sylvorpas to obviously have shoulder-blades. The Vorpa can follow its owner into forests, towns, etc., indicating its skeletal structure must be more like an otter's. I can just picture a Vorpa rippling along. The current Sylvorpa images show a creature with newt-like bone structure, as near as I can tell, but not standing spraddle-legged as a newt would. It stands with its feet under its body, more or less, not out to the side.
The redrawn Sylvorpa not only stands proud, it shows you how it's doing it. There are the shoulder-blades, discernible under the skin and muscle. The redraw also definitely possesses real, forward-turned knees, as opposed to newt knees, which are turned out to the side. I may be kind of just rewording what several other people have said. Just hoping to get my barbels concern taken seriously by pointing out that I appreciate and understand the other changes.
I'm also really hoping for a Mutation that will let me name one Sylvorpa "Shell Silverstein." Because I will totally do that; I'm the "do that" elf!

Not a big fan of the male positioning, but the rest looks great!
