Hmm. I think he'll give people the PSD (photoshop) files to the item in question, and users can color and customize the item without changing it too much.
Then we save the finished product as a PNG and give that to Krin.
Say we get a parrot:
1. Krin provides photoshop file of parrot, with all the different layers to color in set.
2. Players on photoshop edit/color in the parrot.
3. Save the parrot and send it to Krin.

Yes. What Flute said is correct. Although, if you don't have Photoshop, other programs will work too. Gimp I believe is free to download and can open PSDs. And I'm fairly certain other major programs can open PSD files as well.
The restriction is that you can't alter the lineart, shading, or highlights in anyway. However, you are free to color it however you want (gradients, etc).
All submissions are subject to approval - which just means we have to 'okay' it first before adding it in.
To answer the other question, once it's okay'd, we'll subtract the diamonds from your account, create the item, and give it to you. So yes, they will cost diamonds. The pricing will be announced Friday.

I noticed the female is duller than the male in color. Is that going to be the case with the real ones?

I love the new wardrobe idea!
But there is one thing wrong with the Aurleon image update.
Is it just me, or... do the wings seem a bit small?
