Could use some critique on my designs. Feeling iffy this go around about what I got so far.

I'd make the fruit flesh color a bit more vibrant and yellow! The current one looks a bit like it's been in the air awhile...and maybe some more gold and some brown for pear colorings(like Asian and Bosc pears). Otherwise, it looks pretty great! I'd love a cute little fruit bulb n_n

Are you talking about Color One, Cyan? I did, in fact, take it from the color of a cut apple or pear, but it was fresh cut. I wanted it a bit neutral so the Gene and Mutation colors would seem brighter, but I may have gone overboard.

Just for fun, here's the same design with Color One actually taken from a cut apple that had been sitting out for hours--

Is this anything like what you were thinking of? It's definitely brighter, but Mutation Color Three kind of gets lost against it. Then again, I am not a Bulbori collector--perhaps, since it's Mutation Color Three, not some other trait, the similarity doesn't matter.

Regarding your Themes, my absolute favorite is the Crisp Breeze Aurleon. Those pale golds really work with the bluewhite overall scheme. One suggestion is you might wish to vary the blues a bit more. Color Three and Mutation Color One are identical, and Color One is just a brighter, less saturated version of Color Three.

Ashley, I really want some of those Nightmare Soldier Kelparies...except for one thing. With some traits Gene Color Two "gets lost" against Color One--

Maybe switch the colors of Gene Two and Mutation Three? What do you think?

While I love many of your designs (the Ryori is my favorite!) I do think that the Kelpari is a bit too far on the 'dark' side. A lot of the traits seem to get a bit lost in the smaller images. Cloud Runes, Kelp, and Pearl Armor for example. It could greatly benefit from adding a bit more lightness to it.

Changing the C3 to a pale yellow like the eyes would help on a lot of traits since it serves as an accent color. Splash Wings, Mystic Water, Pearl Armor, and Seaweed for example, but it is bit of a drastic change.

For something smaller, a lighter M1 color would also help the Kelp and Armor stand out better as an alternative, and a lighter G3 color would allow Cloud Runes and Glowing Runes to show up better.

Just a few suggestions to keep the potential 1-vis outcomes equally appealing. ;)


The Lunemara's Frosted Tips could also use a more drastic contrast. Maybe a darker blue? Orange? Deeper shadow? Something to make it stand out more than its current condition. If that was the trait I'd get on a 1-vis, I'd want to REALLY know that it was making a difference. And it's the only option for the slot, so a vibrant change would be better on a 6-vis.





Also one suggestion on the Ryori - G2 color. Petal Markings is a major missed opportunity! A lighter color with a contrasting tone would really work wonders since G2's only options are Kitsune and Petal Markings.
