The sun set low behind the hills, covering a pastel blue sky with a blanket of pink and yellow. The sylesti looked longingly at the sun as it dissipated. She wished she could be like the sun, disappearing behind the hills. She looked back at the home she once knew. The sky became dark, and she blended in with the inky blackness. Her eyes sparkled in the shadows, and she ran.

The sylesti looked over the battle field. Light from the sunset reflected of the glass visor of their helmet. Their master lay dead by their feet. In this world they had no one left to turn to. They turn and start draging their masters body back towards the green banners of their base.

This is the beginning of a story I'm writing (slightly modified, also shortened)
She took another step forward. all around her, just darkness. Swirling darkness. She couldn't see them yet but she could feel them, watching her with their white soul-less eyes. Yes, there they were, dark shapes with cold lifeless balls for eyes. "We have hunted you for a long time." one of them said in a raspy voice. then the pain started. excruciating, blinding pain. she fell to her knees, every cell in her body crying out. And even as the world went dark, she knew she had succeeded.

Anyway,

The dark Sylesti stepped into the light for the first time in eons. She was almost blinded by it at first, but soon got used to it and began to weep. She had not seen light since her mother had died. She could not bear to stay in the dark any longer...

The sylesti crept through the deep underbrush, she was looking in vain for food for her hungry pups. then the dense vegetation cleared away to show a great tree. Lights illuminated the tree's dense canopy and every were life seemed to teem. She decided that she would raise her pups here now.

His eyes were wide as she slaughtered every single Sylesti he knew and loved. "What do you want.." he said, trying to be threatening. She laughed, a melodious laugh that went with her looks, but not the crazed look in her eyes. "I want to be known! I want to be the most famous Sylesti in the world!" She stared at him. "So I can't have you here to take my spot!" With that, she leaped at him and his world went black.

The Sylesti stared fearfully at the undead army before her. Uncertainly, she glanced back at Jill, her human. Jill motioned forward and quickly did the same for the Sylesti's other two companions. "Good luck!" The Sylesti said, and her male companions nodded. The three leaped forward and met the army ready to face any challenges.

The ring, where was the ring! The sylesti paced the street looking the gutters for it. "Have you seen a gold and silver ring anywhere?" The sylesti asked a small Puff,"No sorry." it responded. He ran around,My owner will kill me! (I don't know where I got his...)
