Nebular

As legends go Nebular is a powerful and magical warrior from outer space who roams from planet to planet looking to a suitable bride fighting and defeating foes as he goes. It is said that the stars on his fins represent each of the foes he defeated. He places protective spells on the planets he visits giving them everlasting peace. With this act he was know as the hero of the galaxies and although he is only a legend we all hope that he would one day in the near future come to our planet.

Krakatoa

It was a pretty typical day, just a lazy slow afternoon. Then, without warning, without so much as a sign - a cataclysmic explosion was heard on a far away, uninhabited island. Great flames engulfed the small island, smoke rose into the air and blotted out the sun.
After a while, when the smoke and flames had died out, some brave explorers dared to investigate what happened.
There, after navigating the scorched land, they found a lone male Kelpari who stated his name - Krakatoa. He informed the adventurers that he is the newly born god of submarine volcanoes.
Whether he is a kind and benevolent god or something more sinister remains to be seen...

Immortal Fairy Kelpari

This Kelpari was once a normal non-trait Kelpari. It was loyal and brave. Once it had to rescue a fairy from drowning in a fast-moving river. The fairy offered to let it drink from a stream of everlasting life in return for saving her life. It is now a fairy-like, immortal Kelpari. To this day it protects all and keeps bodies of water clean. (Sorry if I'm a bad writer)

Inspired by Raponion's actual Kelpari, over here, I present to you Fan Linguistics.

There was a time when the fluttering of a fan could mean many things. Open, closed, tapping the cheek, fluttering, swirling in a lazy circle, each movement was unique, each message dedicated to a specific someone, and most importantly, it was an entirely secret language for lovers. Similarly, shy kelpari developed a secret language all of their own. Each gene was a unique sign, each mutation, a message, the type of wings they showed, could mean "I'm taken" (lionfish) or "come talk to me" (normal) or "I'm shy but interested" (splash) while the genes appearing on them spoke of further complicated messages "I'm sorry" (calico) "I love you" (monarch) and even sweet sonnet like words like "You mean the moon and stars to me" (nebula). The marks on their bodies, each gene and mutation came to mean special, secret signs for each kelpari, signs they told each other, their owners, other pets, all secretly while doing it completely out in the open.

Of course, there has to be a start to all this and Fan Linguistics created this language. She knows what each sign means, how each mutation and gene combine together to make completely different messages than when they were singular. She's carefully watched over the evolution of kelpari and their beautiful fan-like language, encouraging them to keep combining and creating new meanings to each combination, whether it be as little as one or two genes or as many as six visuals all working together in harmony. She will continue to keep watch, waiting for the day when it's time to reveal all the signs and meanings to the hopeful owners and other pets.

Kelpie
(This design is based off of the Scottish legend of the kelpie)

The mythological kelpie is usually described as a powerful and beautiful black horse inhabiting the deep pools of rivers and streams of Scotland, preying on any humans it encounters. The creature's nature is described as "useful", "hurtful", or seeking "human companionship"; in some cases, kelpies take their victims into the water, devour them, and throw the entrails to the water's edge. In its equine form the kelpie is able to extend the length of its back to carry many riders together into the depths.

Gliding Lotus
(can't think of a better name)

The explorer was rich, and his name was known all over Sylestia for his heroic deeds. He lived in a large house in Astryl's Tranquility, the largest house the town could offer as payment for his help, which had a nice little lotus pond. He was off traveling one day when a lone Kelpari noticed the lotus pond, and took cover in it, admiring the little pink flowers.
When he came back, he was suprised to see the Kelpari lounging there. The Kelpari tensed at the potential threat, but she relaxed at the sight of the explorer holding out a berry. She quickly snapped it up, then reclined back into the pool. The explorer, seeing that there was nothing that could catch the Kelpari's attention again, walked into his house.
The next day, the Kelpari found a plate of berries next to the lotus pond. She sniffed it, then gobbled it up. The same happened the next day, and the next day, and the day after that. Sometimes the explorer would sit beside the pond, his feet dipped in the water while the Kelpari played. Sometimes they communicated silently, such as two eyebrows raised meant How are you? and a low whistle meant Nice day, isn't it?. They didn't know each other's languages, but they got the message across anyways. Over time, the explorer came to the pond regularly, bonding with the Kelpari when he had time on his hands. The Kelpari stayed in the lotus pond, content for the rest of her days.

Not Seen

This kepari used to be the most colorful in the sea. He had the most friends, and he was always talked to. Until, one day, everyone stopped talking to him. This kelpari started to fade everyday. Until, he had no color left. He blended into the shadows, and was never seen. Then, fog started to form around him. He will nevr be seen again, and never was before.

Guardian of the locker, Davy Jones

For centuries tales of dread from sailors and pirates both struck fear into the hearts of any that would wander the deeps seas. Tales that begin "Here there be monsters", with vicious sea serpents so large they could swallow a ship; but one name could frighten even the most seasoned of captains, Davy Jones. The force that caused a slow agonizing death at the hand of the ocean's hand pulling you down to the bottom of the deepest pits of the ocean, the Locker. This is where all the dead from the sea are supposed to end up.To their credit, the stories were partly true.
Davy Jones was named after the first sailor that laid eyes upon him. Stranded at sea He was kept company by a lively creature which he quickly named after his son back home. The kelpari was curious, but too wild to ride to safety. Soon the sailor succumbed and sank, but something special happened. As his soul left his body The kelpari took hold of his body and brought it down. curious, the sailor followed.
His body was placed among the coral in a place littered with bodies and bones. A massive graveyard and the fear of all sea travelers; then he noticed there was a beautiful light which danced in the currents of the water like a portal. It was then that he, as many other before and after, knew the truth, Davy Jones was the reaper to the lucky souls that died a watery death and guardian of the Locker, the gateway to heaven through the sea.

**changed him to look more like a heaven guardian IMO; edited again because sea snake guardian makes me happier. OMG the last time I swear!!! This is why i can't have nice things...OTL
