So, how do pets advance in ability ranks? Do they gather experience once they're attuned to an element, does it depend on how often they use the ability, or something else?

I really like this new update! The only thing I don't like is all the points my pets had are now gone and it will take a while to regain them.

Yay, new changes!

I like these proficiency changes, more abilities = more fun! I went and styled a few selected pets of choice with the shiny new elements and put them into the shiny new party manager (yay for both of these), ready for action!

Alas! The first thing I notice when I go to attempt combat is the glaring Guidance window when I go to my World Map. My problem is that I can't close the Guidance window even with the big red minus button on it. I click it, nothing happens! Makes it slightly difficult to see what I am doing. Thankfully, it only occurs on the map, not inside of towns or zones. For now, I have to scroll the page down so that I can see what's "under" the window. :) (I am using Chrome as my browser)
Edit: Argh! The Guidance window is stuck open while I'm exploring inside Astryl's Tranquility as well!

Combat ahoy - and omg, I can press 1 again in the newer zones to do damage, instead of 3! Thank you! *thumbs up*

Hey, we have shadows now - and even the skinny bandits are casting wide shadows. *amused* :)

I ran into another issue - when trying to do battle in Enigmatic Grotto, it keeps telling me that my pet doesn't have a valid target. "Trollscorcher doesn't have a valid target.2609947"
I have to click my mouse twice on the target to even get the target to be accepted after pressing the ability I want to use, so that I can start selecting a target on the next pet. This happens even if I select the next pet manually by clicking on it, instead of waiting for the game to recognize that it's the next pet's turn after taking action with the first one. Any method I try to use returns the same result however, and now my pets are stuck in combat and can't do anything. I managed to get to the next round by making my two Fire pets use their AoE ability, and my Air pet used ability 2 as well. But since those moves are on cooldown now, I can't progress the combat. I've tried pressing "skip turn" and "block", even mend, but they don't even activate.... Help, I'm stuck! :) (Tried relogging to see if it would help, but nope.)
Update: I decided to try again some hours later, and the other abilities were clickable suddenly! So I was able to finish the combat and get unstuck! :)

But thank you for lowering the combat music volume, and for enabling us to press E to end turn/explore (but you still have to click to enter combat... can this be put on B?).

Going back to giving more pets proficiencies, but for now I am stuck in combat... x.x

Um, will my pets fail missions more often now? They now are around 600 in skills they were 800 in.

Hmm..interesting updates. It will take awhile to navigate the new system but I think I have gotten my main pets attuned to where I want them...I think.

Well, as with anything, it takes time to learn how it works and, also with time, one gets more comfortable with it. Naturally because I joined way before the changes and got used tot he old system, the new changes were unsettling but I am making an effort to navigate my way and so far it looks really nice.

I miss the level up points though but that too passes.

Thank you for all the hard work and don't get too discouraged by complaints. So far I have none myself.

At least in Astryl's Tranquility, hitting "close" after running from a battle causes the page to reload. Not sure if this is bug-report-worthy or just a minor nuisance we'll have to deal with now.

Is confused. I have never been good with this sort of stuff. I am afraid I will mess up the Elemental Tree and not do the right things for my pets. But I will figure it out eventually! :D

I have to say, so far the new system is amazing. I was just fighting in the Bandit Raid on Esior's Haven, and while fighting the Bandits, my tanks health never dropped below 99%. At the end, when I fought Tyrielle, it went down to 98%. That has never happened before. Normally, when my health drops below 75%, I'll heal. Not this time~ I was using all max stat pets as well. My other two pets never went below 100%. My pets are all level 60.

Like others have mentioned, I do miss seeing the base stats of a pet. It made it so much easier for breeding max stat pets and telling if one was max stat. Hopefully that will get implemented again~

Feathy noticed and I checked that with the new system we're not able to see the base stats. Was this intentionally left out or is it going to be added back in. Because it will make breeding max stat pets much harder if we can't see the base stats.

You can if you hover over the Stat. It will break it down for you.

Not sure how this works on a mobile device though, I'd imagine it'd toggle the info with a tap?
