Well with shadows you can indeed create weapons (once your a high enough level) and even use them to restrain people and other such things.

you know the locations of some of the other shrines. However they are a long way off.

A small swirling fire begins and Hephaestus steps out of it "The gods are Waring, now normally I wouldn't care but...Some of my inventions and work places are in danger. Fend them, and help me win this war." he instructed. Then handed you a tool belt and explain it's function

The Gods are at war, You being your gods champion have been summoned by them, you have been given their blessing (a special gift) and instructions of how to help win for their side. Will you succeed or will you fall?
I arrive at Hade's temple, gliding over soft grey stone, reaching the altar. "Hades." I bow my head, although no emotions show in my voice. "You have summoned me, and I have come. What is it that you wish?" I silently step up to the altar, stretching my arms over the stone and letting my offering fall onto it; a fresh crop of mint leaves and asphodel flowers.

That feeling seems to show you a blazing trail. You think you see the flicker of a wild boar (Ares sacred animal btw) at the bottom of the mountain temple.
Zachariah took his things and jumped over something and headed down to investigate
