Mine is based on the Fall Harvest Moon. c:

The eyes are the moon, body is the sky, runes is the orange leaves blowing in the wind, the shadow's color is the glowing clouds and the Headdress symbols the moon as well.

Based off the basic Halloween colors :>

Curious little Halloween Ryoris ;3

The Wings of Illusion is for their flight - to fly off where ever and when ever they can, to collect the souls of lost jack-o-lanterns and to steal treats of the small children! >:3 Shocked Runes represent their histories - damp and secretive, unknown to anyone but themselves. The headdress represents their dignity and loyalty to their masters - the king of the pumpkins and queen of the monsters.

Halloween Night,
A truly spectacular holiday,
where nightmares come alive,
from ghouls to globs,
we shall all live tonight!

Based off the oncoming cold and the spirits that come with it, this little one floats through the night, often being mistook for a will-'o-the-whisp.

My favorite part of fall is sitting around a campfire with friends and roasting marshmallows, so I based my Ryori off of a roaring fire.

Here in the great valley, every fall heralds the dreaded Tule Fog. Tule fog forms on the far seashore of the western coast and pours into the valley through a narrow mountain pass, shrouding all in white by day and eerie black-blue by night. I was inspired because I drove through Tule Fog just this morning - three areas in the farmlands that stand between two cities were completely shrouded in it. Try driving when the only thing you can see is the white and yellow lane markers for about 20 feet.

My favorite, though, is when the Tule Fog first comes and begins to shadow the moonlight and the night sky. Wisps come first, muddling the starlight into starstreaks, and the moon shines off the fog. Then comes the main body and it's hard to see anything but reflected moonshine.

I present my creation, the Azure Night-Tule Ryori. Her visibles are Shock Rune, Nebula, and Ghostly Wrap.

These two are the reason we have frost. They ghost forward on light paws and everywhere they step frost spreads on the ground. They love to step quickly in front of others and see them slip from the ice that has sprung up behind them. Wherever they are, chaos, chill and frost are sure to follow. They have Fox Fire to represent frost, Double Stripes to represent cold, and Ghostly Wraps to represent both scarves for the cold weather and the playfulness they bring with them.

I've dubbed this Ryori, Balance. Every All Hallows he patrols the world, dancing about on the winds between those who would do the world good, and those who would threaten to unbalance it. His Foxfire symbolizes the darkness of the evil creatures, threatening to unbalance the world with their corruption on such a powerful night. The gold Shock Runes symbolize the light of the beings that keep the world in balance, protecting it from being overturned. As for the Ghostly Wraps, they show that while he is free to go about on the winds, he is bound against interfering. No matter how the world tips on this powerful night he is unable to aid either side.

So mote it be.

P.S. I may have been reading Song of the Lioness last night, so that may have aided some of my inspiration. ;)

Where I am, it gets pretty darn cold. It feels like winter when it's fall and also gets pretty foggy, so even though autumn is usually dark colours, I went with light to make that chilly feeling.

...and then I realized when tweaking the colours that he looked like a Wispmother from Skyrim, so I took off the Fox Fire, gave him Ghostly Wraps, and he looked pretty spot on. >_>

He is based off the dog who guards hell in Greek mythology, Cerberus (because of Halloween, so it's a monster). Aside from the fact he only has one head...
