"Just a bag or two of berries, ma'am."

She peers up at you with squint eyes. You get the impression that it's supposed to be a glare but it's hard to tell. "What're you trading in? Goods or favours?"

"Favors." He barely has anything...its theonly option.

"See that thing?" she waves a gangly arm at a crate nearby. "That's a crate of me finest birdie seed. I want you to deliver it for me. The strong lad you are, you're sure to manage it."

"Sure thing. Where to?"

"To the messenger pick-up tower," she says with a grin. "They'll know where to send it, you just have to get it there. And, of course, up all the stairs. Good luck," she adds with an unnerving cackle.

"Alright then." Nicote rally hoped his leg wouldn't act up....He'd just have to take breaks along the way. He bent to lift the box and started walking.

The crate is surprisingly light, and you're only slightly out of breath when you reach the bottom of the messenger tower. There are a few dozen stairs to climb, which you manage after almost falling down them a couple of times.

At the top a disgruntled looking man takes the crate from your hands before you can catch your breath. He takes it over to a Griffin, that promptly takes flight, stray feathers flying into the air. You should maybe hurry back to the old vendor before you react to them.

Nicote quickly gets out of there, feeling his allregies kicking in. Great, now he'll have to buy tissues or allergy meds.

Luckily by the time you enter the marketplace and head to the vendor, your allergy seems not to have gotten any worse than a slightly runny nose. But in a city where Griffins are almost everywhere, it's going to be difficult to avoid them and your allergy forever.

After climbing up and down those stairs, you feel like the exercise has paid off.
