@Unstaeble

Oh don't get me wrong, the gist of the rainbow fire mane is nice! (I made an extensive, year-long 6V project strictly for rainbow qitari once the rainbow scales were implemented. So yeah, bright rainbow is great!)

It's the use of M2 color muddying up the once-flawless rainbow that I don't particularly care for with the change. Previously it was a pure rainbow, like the non-M2-altered mane. Rainbow is rainbow is rainbow, and it is glorious.

With an M2 color intruding...? Doesn't look anywhere near as good. .. unless it's white like I posted before, but that brings its own issues in trait-variable designs and projects. Like, say I want a dark rainbow - popular idea with black and rainbow traits. Black scrubbing up the rainbow colors is ick. White is... okay, but a little too "shock white" when you want a black rainbow thing. Get rid of the M2 intrusion like it used to be, and it'd be much improved.

Even with bright colors used for the M2, more often than not it takes the rainbow way out of balance - especially when paired with rainbow scales. I haven't been able to find a truly "balanced" color for it yet because every color is present in its brightest form, and each color has colors it gets on well with, and colors it just doesn't blend with.

Unless M2 is white or very close to it, something or other about the M2 color will just look "off" somewhere within the mane. And that's really quite a shame because other than the M2 tarnishing those gorgeous, flowing color blends, I love it. M2 just kills it.

All the new ones look so incredible! And I can't speak for everyone, but I really, really love new genes, so I'm all in favor of new G3's!

I love how they look, except fire... (not that it is bad) I chose a Fire mane for my starter qitari because I loved how it gave a soft glow to the mane. It had the color near the body but the fire color near the edges, and I Loved that. Now it looks completely different...

(I will get used to it, I will just miss the old look)

Also after glancing over the many nebula comments from other players, I had a thought. I think the edges are a little too strongly defined. Loaded it into Gimp and smudged things up a bit to try and make it feel more gaseous rather than a molten solid. Ordered by original image I used from the generator, a version that was mildly smudged on the edges, and a majorly smudged at the end. (Highlights around the Qitari itself are still a little too bright, I think, but I'm out of time for the night)

Xavion is spot on with that Nebula Mane~! A bit of blur makes it look much more nebulous.

Love the new shading on Luxurious Locks! Florian looks a lot better.

Is it possible for players who have used pet dyes on these pets to get the option for a recolor on the mane slots/affected color slot areas? I recolored Koi Pond a while back to try to get him to match those Iridescent Scales (which are already difficult to work with) and the Icicle Mane looks a lot better and a lot more detailed but the colors are WAY different. I also think there might be some random color spots appearing?

Edit: Oh, and yes to seeing more G3 Traits on the manes please. :D More variety = more unique pets
I'm usually not a fan of traits that make other trait slots 100% redundant.
