I dunno, but definately talk about PRPs, bacause they do play a bit differently than normal RPs in terms of the general control and flow.

Whatchya need?

Smaller RPs with two or three other people are typically easier to manage. That said, one-on-one RPs tend to get boring unless both players actively work to keep the plot rollin'. When firing up a PRP, it helps to make sure whoever you RP with can help with that.

Humor. One good joke can go a long, long way in RPs, even if it is just a cringe-inducing pun.

I've found the RPs with somewhat OP (compared to the good guys) villans make for more interesting stories. It offeres the heroes a challenge, which is good. Just, you know. Make them eventually beatable.

Avoid making your charather needlessly edgy/angsty/ depressed 24/7. A bit of angst is actually quite fun within reasonable amounts, but a lot of folks I've RP'd with really don't appreciate it in excess.

Talk about stuff in the sign ups! You may gain extra insight on people's charathers, what you fellow RP-ers are like, share some good laughs, excjange ideas... the list goes on.

Don't be afraid to edit your profile as your charther changes in the story. It's a great tool for referance, and you never know when you want to use a charather again!
(Fun fact: Cody Hale was a detective in another life, and Axel Flether was a dragon rider, a pirate, and a Pokemon trainer. He had emotion powers before now in different RP, but that particular one only lasted about five pages, heh.)

Another tip, sorta an after thought, Never use more than three !'s or ?'s in a row. I hate it when people do that.
