No worries I love octopus and squid too! I do actually know what a cephalopod is, and fun-fact, I am also homeschooled. I agree, most of use are weirdos.

I can totally do tentacles.

Another fun fact, if someone asked me what my favorite animal was I wouldn't be able to decide between Saber-tooth tigers or Giant squid. I mean really, how cool are they???

I don't meet a lot of those, we're few and far between. Gotta stick together^^

Ironically, my favorite color is grey, though in all my art I love going over-saturated^^ They end up looking like someone just bent rainbows about. heh...
I like all of the colors, though my second-favorite is yellow. I grew an appreciation for the color spectrum when I studied color psychology. It's a fascinating field and I learned so much about what colors to use on which paintings^^
So if you wanna do color, I'd suggest yellow^^ And no worries, I like highlighter yellow too. It works great for highlighting, as the name suggests.
Basically, no worries about color, go crazy.

Yellow goes well with blue and purple too, which are must-needs for underwater creatures for some reason. I make all my sea-creatures bright red just to annoy people. And y'know, red turns grey underwater, so technically I'm coloring my creatures grey. I have no problem coloring things grey, since it's my favorite color^^

I can't pick between the cephalopods. Though I like blue-ringed octopus, dumbo octopus, humboldt squid, and giant squid. Yes, they are very cool.
If you asked what my favorite biome is, I'd tell you it's the deepsea. Like, below the twilight zone. Strange stuff goes on down there...

Oi, if you wanna experiment with watercolor, try dripping vinegar in the wet paint. It does weird things.
Same with bleach, but if you do that, make sure not to spill it since it's a corrosive base. It'll eat your skin if you let it^^ And might make you go blind if you get in in your eyes...
Who knew painting was so dangerous???

Ohh yes deepsea! Those salt-brine lakes are simply fascinating. Colorful, got it!

Tbh that watercolor was really experimental xD I much prefer markers (the half-picture right next to it was done when I first got my current set)
