Odi leaned on Rei, rubbing a temple with her wrist. Ugh. She hated relying on other people, but Rei was her leader, and she respected a lot about her. She just wished she didn't feel like such a deadweight. At her praise, Odessa felt a bit better as she let Rei lead her away from the scene. "Thanks, boss," she smiled halfheartedly under her hood.

(is he not able to just convert some of his body at a time? Like making just his arms tree limbs or just covering them with bark? Because if so, oof, that's pretty use-limited. Might not want to hold onto that thing too long if he can't, since it is radioactive.
Gave it to him since trees are very resistant to radioactivity, but not going to help him too much if he can't just dryad or something.

Also yeah, I had something typed up but the server went dead and I fell asleep during the downtime, so lost all of mine too ;;)

Kiyoshi followed behind him, only activating the ear piece when he thought he was out of earshot of the police.
"We have it. We're heading to the park now. Mikal should be able to deliver it to you if you have the containment device ready."

DeHaro and Miko, with some difficulty, made it back down to the streets below. He could have sworn he had seen people run past here and now that blue light seemed to be gone.
At least the air wasn't as heavy or rippling near it, but it bothered him to know SS probably got what they wanted this time.
He breathed a sigh and rubbed the back of his head.
"Guess we're headed back to the station. Just like them to trail out in smoke."

Mikal started growing bark while running. Not on his legs-too cumbersome-but his arms and upper half, yes. So, yknow, it looked relaly weird. And awkward. He hand planned don it but the radiation was getting to him. Tee bark was the ksot effective way

It almsot meant that now his midsection was kind of....not very flexible. Or feeling. Bing part tee was fun.

(well, it's not like it's steel. Still can easily light him on fire or break it off.
Tree bark's not exactly bulletproof and I imagine having to grow it is both not fun and probably takes a lot of time/focus to shed it again. Nevermind the inflexibility it'd cause and being super noticable as a power to anyone onlooking. (Not a good thing.)
Closest person with a shifting power that's bordering op is Cian's character, but I'm giving her a lot of leeway right now, so I say you're fine since his power has to be used very situational anyways unless he wants to be a sitting duck.. tree(?) He's basically a more defensive, tanky Rei, tbh. At least he can use it effectively for stealth and spying.

I'll have to see how things go as we go, but I don't really see anyone too super unbalanced here (other than against the PD, but I made DeHaro a healer for a reason), but just strong enough to make it very difficult to immediately take down anyone individually.)

Mikal went into the park (green area? Wharever) and went into full tree form. Because....why not. He was already halfway there. Might as well finish the job.

Just assume it's part of his ability to magic his clothes on and off into a pocket dimension full of unexplained fantasy logic when he turns into a tree.

Yes he wasnt verbal but you couldnt very well talk when your mouth wasnt exactly usable.

Kiyo decided to mess with him and lit one on fire with his lighter, holding the burning leaf out to him.

Mikal awkwardly shed a little bark so he could talk...for a little. "Shut up, your the one smoking under me. I'm still willing to topple over, you're in my trajectory. Its boring and painful to stand for hours on end." He concentrated and regrwq the bark around his mouth. An sent a leaf down on Kiyos head to finalize his point. Since his branches were his hair (minus two lower down for his arms), he wasnt too concerned about losing hair.
