She takes the tray and stuffs a fork full in her mouth

i grab the tray from my desk, as well as the bundle of polished wooden silverware. i set the glass of water back on the nightstand, not wanting it to spill. it clinks when it's set down, and i feel the power in my surge, dying out before it can lash out like before. i tense at the feeling, relaxing as it fades. no more pill, no more over flowing power. i can control it like this.

I take a tray as well, looking around nervously at the others. "I'm Kaito, by the way....." I introduce myself quietly. "Kaito Kayashi. It's nice..... to meet you, I guess."

"whats your power?" i ask, shoving a forkful of food in my mouth to distract myself from everything going on.

Maple looked up at him curiously

I sink my fangs into the food in front of me, I feel the fire pricking at my paws again as I regain my strength but this time I force it down, controlling it "I wonder how that girl died"

"it looked like she fell, or was crushed" i say, downing my water to settle my nerves. "i think we should get some sleep, some rest would do us good"

"Yeah," I say, shooting her a faint smile, then lying back and staring up at the ceiling. Although I don't know how much rest I'm gonna be able to get right now.

I yawn and curl up, tail over my snout as I fall asleep quickly. I snuffle cutely in my sleep while my hind legs kick gently.

we're woken up in the morning by a loud dinging coming from speakers in the ceiling. there's a crackle, and Angela's voice comes from the speakers. "it's nine thirty, this is when you will be waking up every morning. if you follow the hallway down to the cafeteria, they have a breakfast buffet and you can grab a plate and load it with whatever you want" she says, before the speaker crackles off again.

groaning i sit up, stretching and yawning. is it seriously nine thirty? it feels so early and i'm still so tired.
