The sylesti laughs wickedly as she watched her enemies fall one by one from her paws. She was the most feared sylesti in all of the forest.

She breathed in the pure spring air as she waided into the water. The sacred spring glittered in the light that passed through the many blossoms on the surrounding trees. The woman let her robes fall away and she raised her arms above her head as she began the summoning ritual. She danced among the falling petals and gentle breeze, untill the spirit guardian finally appeared. The guardian took the form of a magnificent ethereal beast, which bowed its head to the woman before flying off to fulfill its purpose.

The sun was finally up. The sylesti watched it paint the skies with pink and amber. Summer had finally come, she/he had only been waiting all year. She/he saw the sky turn blue and then jumped, dipped and soared on golden wings.

The sound of panpipes drifted across the otherwise silent battlefield. The sylesti attempted to lift his head to see where the sound was coming from but to no avail. Resting his hea back down he looked up at the stars. Soon he would be one of them, one of the many spirits who rested in the heavens. He closed his eyes and allowed himself to drift away to the sound of the panpipes.
