The lion girl looks offended. "Excuse me? I am a Sphinx. What are the people above teaching their youth these days?" The Sphinx 'says'. She didn't open her mouth to speak, her voice just seemed to be there, everywhere, yet nowhere. It echoed in your ears. "And to pass, you must solve a riddle."
Kenzie pauses, looking suspicious still. "I'm terrible at riddles."
"Then your fate is already sealed and you must head back the way you came." The Sphinx says in a silky voice. Kenzie opens her mouth, looking offended.

Kain raised his hand. "I'm good at riddles. If I solve a riddle will you let both of us pass?" He smiled sweetly, trying to manipulate the sphinx into doing what he said.

"Your human wiles will not work on me. I am a Sphinx, after all. However, I will allow you to answer two riddles, one for each of you, so that you both may pass." The Sphinx smiles, sitting and placing her paws neatly in front of her, her tail whipping behind her.
"Riddle me this: What can fly without wings? And: What is full of holes but still holds water?" The Sphinx looks smug, as if positive you wouldn't be able to figure it out.

(I'm still gonna be a good person and figure it out on my own.)

He shrugged. "I'm just gonna answer both because I wasn't told which was mine. The first one would be... time flies... time? And the second one would be... well... sponges hold water... and they're full of holes so sponges?" He looks questioningly at the sphinx.

"Wro- Oh. You actually got those right. Good job." The Sphinx looks impressed. "Well, I'll hold myself to my word and let you pass." The Sphinx moves to the side enough to let you and Kenzie pass through. When Kenzie was past the Sphinx, she turns to you, "How are you good at riddles? Teach me your ways!"

"I just have to think logically about them. If it's some sort of silly kid riddle that won't work. But a serious Sphinx I can use it on. It's not that hard really." He shrugged it off.

"Not that hard?! Stop being modest." Then Kenzie pauses. "Well, I guess that I think you're really good because I can't figure things out even when they're staring me in the face."
The Sphinx makes no move to stop either of you, in fact it looks rather bored as it watches you leave.

"I mean, I'm sure you could figure something out if the answer stared you in the face." He took everything she said literally as he followed her.

"I bet I wouldn't be able to." Kenzie says, downplaying her abilities.

Right - Door
Left - Webs
Forward - Feathers

"Hey! Webs! That means spiders! Cool!" He ran down the left path with a big smile on his face. "C'mon Kenzie!"
