dialogue is my favorite i have so many good examples but i think these are two of my favorites that aren't too full of swearing, cough.

The goose hjonked at Cass as if in protest, hissing in his direction.

"You mean more than normal? No. There's a lot of crazy stuff that goes on around here what with people comin' back from the dead, giant thunder snakes, and a freakin' time god playing poker with the engine crew."
