Forest
"Won't that siren ever leave me alone?"
Serei's ears perked up as the wind carried the words to him, along with a strange scent. Nose in air, the fox sniffed, letting out a low growl as he identified the scent. Another Kitsune.
"What is it, boy?" Seiun asked his brother's fox, hands on knees as he looked at the fox.
"Another kitsune" Came the reply.
With a nod, the young kitsune turned to his older brother, who had an eyebrow raised in questioning. Relaying the message, the younger brother sniffed the air, clarifying that the scent had indeed originate from the north east. The older male nodded, and began to move in that direction, ignoring his brother's protests as he signaled for the younger male to follow.
"We can always kill them anyway."
((Cora, say they met or something? :3))
Reapers' Headquarters
"Leader, take care!" Said the remaining member of her team with a salute, before he himself chose a place to warp to and disappeared in a flash of white light. Sighing under her breath, she turned on her heels, away from the teleporter - she didn't even know why they needed it, they always had the abilities to warp across plains and places on their own- and began the walk to her room. Her team had just been dismissed for a month's break, but the leader herself stayed behind, instead opting to help out a fellow reaper. Of course, her wanting to always be with him gave rise to numerous rumors of their relationship, though in each other's hearts the knew they were nothing but friends.
"Hey, Vulpes, weren't you supposed to have left already?" A teenage boy's voice asked from behind her. Stopping in her tracks, she turned her head slightly, looking at him out of the corner of her eyes. And there he was, the hooded male she'd always protect - Alfred Winston.
Tugging her veil over her head, she resumed her walk. "Is there a problem with what I choose not to do? My team needs the rest, I do not."
Before the male squadron leader could answer, a voice spoke from the watch-slash-communicator located on the reapers' right wrist. Throwing a glance to each other, both place their right arm near the mouths, left hand turning dials on the watch.
"Team leaders Alfred and Vulpes, both of you are to aid Kaito and Yukio on their mission. Please head over to them now."
"Understood." Came the united reply from both leaders as they inputted the warp coordinates that they were just given into the teleporter, closing their eyes as they felt the familiar rush of their bodies breaking down into small enough particles to warp.
Fighting Supernaturals Open to response... If anyone hears the fight or sees the light
"Yukio!" Hearing his name, the vampire whipped around, ducking just in time to avoid getting decapitated. Rolling out of the way, he grabbed the shapeshifter by his neck, sinking in his fangs as he swatted the sword out of his attacker's hands. Behind him, he heard the sound of steel against steel, and heard his brother straining against the two supernaturals that were fighting against him.
Growling, the vampire made short work of his victim, kicking the lifeless body into the ground. Grabbing the fallen's sword, he ran towards the werewolf and vampire, stabbing the werewolf through the head as his brother kept the other vampire busy.
Looking around him, he saw even more supernaturals trying to attack them, and as his brother killed the vampire, Yukio quickly grabbed him and jumped away. Where were their reinforcements?
Their answer came a few moments later, when a bright flash lit up the clearing. The enemy was blinded but so were the half bloods, and both instinctively covered their eyes with their hands.
"Well well..." Alfred said, surveying the scene. Bodies littered the ground but they had another... 20? To kill before this fight was over. Already it seemed like 13 were killed. "What do we have here?"
A growl came from his right, and a supernatural charged at the two newcomers. Vulpes barely blinked when she shifted her form, tails peeping out of her dress, and sent roaring blue flames towards the attacker's way, Within seconds, nothing but a pile of ash lay on the ground, and the two leaders turned to their enemy, only to see them already rushing at them.
Quickly throwing his arm out in front of him, Alfred sent a orb of dark energy towards one, while jumping out of the way from another's attack. Vulpes took care of that one, however, when one of her tails picked him up and threw up towards Kaito, who sliced the incoming projectile in half, ending the attacker's life.
This fashion continued whenever Vulpes had the chance, throwing the supernaturals towards her allies, who would end the supernaturals' lives. Within minutes of the new arrivals, the remaining supernaturals were dead, and the 4 reapers lay on the ground, two of them panting, two of them enjoying the view of the stars.
"So... What now?"
Fighting Yokai
"Unmerciful thorns, awake from your slumber, and rip my enemy to shreds! Ivy Rush!" Her chant finished, vines appeared around several yokai, ensnarling them and allowing her fellow onmyouji, Glaciies, to finish them off. Their familiars held off the rest, and Glacies concentrated, muttering a spell under her breath.
"Frozen blades, pierce the sky.. Fly swiftly to us to aid us in battle... Frozen Lancer!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, she threw her arm forwards, palm facing the remaining yokai. Not reacting quickly enough, they were impaled by ice shards that rained from the heavens. Nodding her approval, the older female walked over to her junior, inspecting her for wounds. When she found none -surely she wouldn't, Glacies was already voicing her well-being- she called their familiars over, and proceeded to walk back towards civilization. Suddenly, Hana jumped backwards, and not a moment later, a hellhound appeared in front of her. Sighing, the female placed a hand of the hound's forehead, and it wagged its tail delightfully.
"Sorry about that, girls, he never seems to listen to me..." Said a white haired female, walking towards them as she folded her wings behind her back. Hana wondered again why they had let this demon join them. But then, Glacies would always remind her... remind her how the lady before them, Lilith, had saved them from a horde of yokai and supernaturals. Sure, they had fought, Glacies the only peacemaker in the group then, but over time -it had been a month since they travelled together- they grew to be... Frenemies as one would call it.
"Lilith, how far?"
The demon laughed, opening her wings as she took to the skies. "Figure that out yourself, Mikota. Besides, it will only be a walk..." With one last laugh, she sped off towards the town she found, leaving Darkness to lead the two onmyouji and their pets, with one of them mentally cursing her out. |
