It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents, though the water had only just begun to fall. The wind swept through the trees and rattled through branches and fiercely agitated the skin under his fur. His disturbingly bright eyes squinted through the water as he struggled to hurry home before his feathered wings were so heavy with rain he'd have to wait a whole day to be abe to fly again, or worse, he broke a paw from slipping in the quickly forming mud.
At least his dark fur would help him blend in with the darkness.

Monstrous paws pounded the soil behind him as he ran for his life. Having been chased through the forest for miles had started to take it's toll as he had started to slow down, unlike the beast behind him who had no intention of stopping.

Beast


She walked leisurely along the beach of her island home as the sun set. The calm water was only a foot away and she paused to take a deep breath of the salt-scented air. She closed her maroon colored eyes as the gentle breeze ruffled her fur slightly. The sun-warmed sand beneath her bright colored paws was peaceful as she thought about nothing but the wonderful future.

The sylesti found a small rock and hit it as hard as he could. It felt good, so he looked around for another. After a little while of hitting rocks and listening to the sounds of the forest, he had calmed down enough and headed back towards home.
