I stand there, frozen, not moving in case she would take it as a threat and attack me again. I breath softly, waiting for her to notice me.

I wonder if perhaps i can braid them together. Plucking three pieces of cottongrass, and putting the fuzzy ends under my foot, i begin to braid, pulling enough to keep them slightly tensed, but loose enough so they won't snap.
