There is no need for repayment. I did as I was asked. It is sufficient. The voice said. After a few seconds, you get the feeling that the source of the voice had left, as there was no longer the warm feeling in the air. The room wasn't cold, but it had cooled down a bit.

"Please don't leave, Sir" she mumbled, looking up and away from Diana, breathing in to calm herself, "I don't want to be alone anymore. At least they weren't alone." she looked down at the floor, staring down. She couldn't remember the first world, but here, even the thieves on the streets did.. they were a family in their own way.

"Claws?" Xan raised an eyebrow suspiciously. "Maybe, possibly, but... they'd be easily discovered if they carried the claws around in public, no? Or maybe... the claws don't belong to the murderer? Is there anything else of interest or is it just this cloth?"

Micah shrugged, "Uh... dunno. Honesty, I wanted to spend as little time in there as possible. I was sure I was gonna leave a little bit of me in there to, if you know what I mean." He patted his abdomen once, it still felt a little queasy. "Anyway, if the claws didn't belong to the murderer, than who or what? Nobody came in here after the death, right?"

The room warmed up again as there was a breathy sigh from behind you and you feel something ruffle your hair gently. I'll be around if you need me, I'm going to get food for you. You must be somewhat hungry, no? The voice said, and the room abruptly cooled down again. Diana scrabbled at your shirt's hem and extended both of her paws at your face.

Xan shrugged but looked amused at your discomfort. "Now you see why I don't want to go inside, ever." He fidgeted a bit, then continued. "Well, after the murder happened, we hurried and tried to clean up, as you probably know. As far as we know, nobody came in... but somebody, or something may have gotten in, as this doesn't have the best surveillance at all times." Xan was about to say more when there was a crash from around the corner, and the little man jumped.

April gulped, "I-It's fine" she said softly and quietly, looking down at the ground. She gently stroked Dianas stomach and held her, making sure she didn't move too much or get hurt. She gulped again, trying not to help up too devestated. her heart pounded and she stayed mainly still, trying to calm down.

Micah had opened his mouth to reply when the crashed sounded. Was this danger, or the person Lord Fancy-Coat had sent to help them? Maybe neither? He hoped for the latter two. He spun towards the corner, hands raised towards his face protectively: he couldn't have his handsome appearance be ruined.

Diana still stared at you through giant round saucers of deep brown and black, head tilted. She could sense your emotions, and you knew that. Raccoons are smart little cuties. She wriggled out of your arm and scrambled to the relatively small bed that still looked comfortable and she put her front paws on the sides, looking back at you as she tugged gently at the bedsheet.
