She listened in silence, disbelief and shock. She didn't know much about her father but she knew one thing, he would not abandon them without a reason. She was also surprised that a Jackson did not exist and took out a note pad, jotting that down. A deserter... she was on the verge of tears but she held them back.
"I... thanks officer," She said in a shaky voice, standing up.
She felt something fall on the desk, it was the book from before and written on it was a very familiar name, Cody Bee Richard. She picked it up and held it in front of her before slipping it back in her pocket.
"I... sh-hould go no-ow, thanks for your help officer," She turned and walked out of the office.

DeHaro was still wrangling a dog into a cleared out storage room and setting down newspaper all over the bottom of it.

Kendo waved to her, staring curiously out the door as she left.
He'd.. definitely need to forward this one to Haro. Something about this man was really bothering him.

Lishian was watching DeHaro. Because....why not. Hed gotten bored waiting for his slow phone to reboot itself.

Yuu, having woken up from a bad dream, was outside on his balcony, smoking off it with one and his phone in the other. Haro had left him a few messages at this point, filling him in on the situation and honestly, as much as he wanted to roll into the station right now, he wasn't getting paid overtime.

Mikal was just...walking around. Somewhere underneath Yuu's balcony, he took a break to take a swing of water. And choked on the smoke. Cuz...well, he was part tree, technically.

Yuu

Yuu looked down at him, for once taking his eyes off his phone.
He flicked some ash from his cigarette over him just to mess with him.
He wasn't sure he'd be recognized but at this point he was too tired to care about some Salvation Silence guy creeping around.

Mikal looked up and yelped, dodging the ash. "HEy, watch it!" He yelled up. Part of his hair were leaves (because, hey, free shade) and he sure didn't want them on fire.

Yuuko had to laugh his butt off at that. When he had finally composed himself,it was with a bit of a smile even though his tone remained cold and distant.
"So it's true then, you really are part tree.. And I thought I had seen it all when Wes said his mark had turned his hair and eyes silver."

Mikal glanced up. "You know Wes? Huh, never seen you before."

"Long time ago. When everything with Salvation was just starting up. Had nowhere else to go and Rei took me in."
He decided it was best not to remind the treeman who he was and about their earlier park fiasco. "How's everyone been?"
