Hey Limor! I was floating around in the forums and came upon this article, and it makes a few good points I'd like you to consider.
1. Not pinging everyone.
A lot of users are annoyed by this, and as Tori pointed out, actively avoid The Times because of the Ping. We already have a subscribers list we can use instead. Please read Tori's whole post here, it's the best summary of the issue.
2. More Sylestia related
Please read Kattyas post here. I especially agree with the age level one. Some of our content has been too mature for something one would think to find on a pet site.
Again, just a consideration. I love what we do, but I want it to be safe and fair. Thanks for listening xD

Hello all! In this edition of the themed pet showcase we will be interviewing Celticnuru about her first (and might I add wonderful) theme! The theme in question is the Dark Magic Kelpari, one of the newest themes for the fall fest.
And now without me blathering on more, here is the interview!
1. How does it feel getting your first theme?
That is an truly great question. Something I honestly never thought I would get the chance to answer, but always had hoped to one day. And now that that day has come, I am left utterly speechless. I am filled with so much wild raw emotion, that I am not sure what it is exactly I am feeling. All I can assure you is that it is all positive. A renew of faith that anything is possible if you stick with it. And I am excited and nervous at the same time to share Dark Magic with each and everyone of you.
2. What inspired the color pallet of the kelp?
Honestly, when I began to creation process of Dark Magic I had no rhyme or reason to it. I had scrapped the concept more than I even care to count, and started over again and again. But what I noticed out of each attempt, is I wanted something dark. Something to represent night and shadow. Darkness....So I based the main body off of dark blues, black, deep purples and grays and built up from there. The colors that followed suit where ones that I wanted to pop against the said darkness and shadow represented in the body. In a sense glow to represent the magical allurer of the unknown. A light of hope. And the soft yet lighter blue colors do just that. Not to mention that there is something just calming about the color blue.
3. Were you expecting it to get chosen?
Honestly no. I was not at all expected to get chosen, as I have been turned down and picked over more than I care to count. Fest after fest, it has been that way. I mean I even was on the verge of giving up. To me, I was like why put forth the effort after try and and try for so long if you are never going to get that chance to see something you made picked and featured? I was very disheartened as I know a number of people can get when they try and try again and again with no luck. Always seeming to fall short.
BUT DON'T GIVE UP!
Being persistent is what paid off. Seeking help and guidance on how to improve, and just keeping at it while trying new things. Taking risks with different colors and traits I am not necessarily comfortable using together does pay off. You never know until you try. And I am glad I didn't give up when I thought all hope was lost. I am glad I stuck to it, and kept on designing because it truly did pay off.
4. Anything about the design you would change now that it's in game?
Honestly, there is nothing about the design I would change now that it is in game. I am pretty happy with how Dark Magic turned out. I just hope everyone else enjoys it too.
5. Anything else?
Yes. To those that are thinking about giving up because you haven't had a design picked. Don't! There will always be times where you second or even triple guess yourself and what you are creating. But don't fret. Even those that have designs that are picked time in and time out I am most assured do have those kind of days too. And I as one of many now that are living proof that persistence days pay off, can tell you to keep at it. Don't give in... Keep at it, and don't be afraid to ask for help, feedback, and or advice on a design when and if you need to. It is like riding a bike, figuratively speaking of course...You get back up if you fall and try and try again until it happens. Because one day it will happen for you. You just can't give up.

A thread addressing the sitewide pings has been brought to my attention and for this edition I would like you all to vote on this anonymous poll if we should keep sitewide pings or work something else out. Which ever group is in majority will favor. If most of you don't want site wide pings I will have a discussion with Krinadon to remove them.
Please vote on the poll here.
