"Yeah, but you could probably sneak anywhere you wanted. Well.. Outdoors at least. All I can do is listen for electronic signals of things.. Not exactly useful in a city where they're everywhere."
He finished his cigarette. Well, that much was half-true. Sure, he could listen for signals and even isolate them if he wanted, but he kept the hijacking part to himself. Mikal really didn't need to have any way to trace him back to the police. Rei knew about his power too well. He knew she'd probably do anything to have it back in her hands again.
"How'd you even get it anyways?"

"Yknow, big radiation blast, wrong place at the wrong time." Mikal shrugged, sending some bark to he floor. "Same as pretty much everyone else. Howd you get yours?

"Well, yeah.. Everyone knows about what went down in the plaza..
Guess you could say I got mine before all of that even went down. Broke into somewhere I probably had no business in being." He picked his phone off the ground of his balcony, pocketing it and leaning against the metal bars.
"Call it curiosity if you want, I was a stupid teenager. 7 years ago, there used be a ramen shop in that plaza. Real shady place, looked like a front for something. And I was right.
There was a whole research lab in the basement. Managed to trace numbers for it right back to the military base in the Kohiko prefecture about 30 miles east of here. There's nothing left of the place now as I'm sure you've seen, but I still wonder what that was all about. You got any theories?"
Also true. But he knew Mikal was useless with that information. Obviously Rei and Wes knew about it too.. considering their recent raid. No thanks to him. He figured he wasn't going to get anything useful out of him anyways, but he figured he'd hold out for a few more minutes. Maybe even sow a bit of doubt in his head.

"Yep. Getting your raft. I think my sisters friend was doing soemthing with that some time back, dont know why he likes donning that kind of stuff but that's a nerd for you." Mikal shrugged. "Gotta say though, itd be great to know what that thing that sent us the power came from. This is turning into an anime or somethin at this point."

Kiyo broke from his meeting with Rei, tired but no worse for the wear. He caught side of Monty pacing along one of the sides of the warehouse and sighed. Well, if he had to.

DeHaro, finished with all his dog antics and now caffeinated decided it was best to take Joji and Val home for the night as Miko left, leading them out to the patrol car and starting off on their way. He didn't have much to say, but he got a text from Yuu he made mental note to look at later along with one from Kendo that almost got his full attention.
Weird. The Chief was normally never in at this hour.
He made it his priority to see him when he got back to the station and his second priority to get some sleep afterwards.
