Nicote, being Dark-attured, sensed the wolfman nearby. Decideing to have a little fun, he silently took a small basic dagger out of one of his pockets (hey, when you're the heir of a country that's at war you don't exactly go around wihtout weapens) and aiming, chucked it at the ground so that it landed a few inches away from Lowell.

Lowell Brichalles
He jumped to his feet, nearly stumbling out of the shrub, and instinctively went for his sword, only to remember and swear silently under his breath.
He looked up at the tree, trying to identify his assailant before recognizing Nicote's face.
Perfect. Just the man he was looking for.
"You should be more mindful with your daggers, your Highness. It is not wise to pick a fight you would not win."
He stepped out of the shrub fully, careful to mind the level of his voice and the noise of the rustling leaves.
"May we speak privately?"

Nicote leaned back against the tree and smirked, corssing his arms. "Perhaps. Depending on your intentions, I may or may not decide to toss a few more down. Besides, are you sure that you would win?"
Nicote realy should've been born as a character in Alice in Wonderland. He loed to toy with people.

(he gonna get slapped out of that tree he keep this up)
Lowell Brichalles
He growled lowly in frustration, barely managing to keep himself from changing on the spot with the blatant threat.
When he had calmed himself after a moment and the rage cleared from his eyes, he simply folded his arms.
"I do not wish to bet on an encounter I do not see as advantageous for either of us to have. I am not here for your life, I am here to ask questions regarding Bilderia and your magic. May we go inside?"

Lowell Brichalles
"I do not intend to cause any trouble. I will meet you in your quarters."
He said as he took off and climbed up the side of the palace wall, pushing in a window on the second story with some effort before slipping inside the guest quarters.
Seemed Lowell had made quite the effort to memorize the layout of the inside as well, although he wasn't too sure when it would ever come in handy.
He took a seat in a wooden chair and waited for Nicote to come around, preparing a mental contingency plan if he decided to alert the guards instead.

(ppftft way to drop in there, buddy)
Lowell Brichalles
Lowell was very amused by such a display.
It would definitely be useful to have such a mastery over dark arts to cover his own tracks.
He supposed something as complex as shadow teleportation took years to master, but he couldn't help his curiosity..
"May I get comfortable then, your Highness? It would make things far easier for me to explain.. Especially as we have only briefly met once before outside of casual passing."

Lowell Brichalles
"..It goes without saying. But everything I intend to ask and say to you is meant to be kept secret and kept in confidence."
He took a breath in apprehension and gave him a nod as he removed his cloak and armor as to not damage them, leaving him in his underclothes. A strange, demonic rune was visible on the shoulder of his arm for a brief moment before dark ash-colored fur crept up it.
He relaxed and fully let the wolf overtake him covering his mouth with a hand to suppress a snarl, careful not to wang his growing antlers or bone spikes on his spine and arms on the wall behind him.
They did make it difficult for him to lean back in the chair properly, resorting to sitting sideways and crossing one leg over the other.
The otherwise assured human posture on such an infernal beast showed he meant no harm and retained most of his human intelligence. He almost looked comically oversized in the small chair he sat in.
"..Better." He said as he dropped his hand. "Let me first introduce myself properly, your Highness. My name is Lowell Brichalles. I was once a duke in the Liseon Alliance before.. Well, this.
You may recognize me for better or worse reasons, but know that I now faithfully serve the Empress of Arkaos and her Empire.
She.. and I both would prefer that such information not be treated lightly or disclosed as it would understandably cause some strife with the Alliance or any others that take offense to a man such of myself among her own forces. I have no wish for things to become more political than they are already.
Anyways, I believe my condition was influenced by a demonic possession inflicted from a weapon that was presented to me. I no longer have possession of this offending weapon in particular but I find its infernal influence remains strong.
I was wondering what you knew of dark magic and hexes, especially of the demonic variety as I wish to gain a greater degree of conscious control over it if I remain unable to remove the offending presence completely.
There.. is also another matter, concerning the nation of Arkaos itself that I require an opinion on, but I think it best I lead with one thing at a time."
