Kenzie laughs slightly, sliding down next to you. She struggles to get up. A few minutes of trying and failing to get up and have her body react the way it is supposed to, she gives up and curls into a ball. She didn't want to die either, but it looked like there was no hope for her currently. Kenzie takes her last breath before falling still near the wings of the manticore.

Kain

Kain hadn't registered fully that something had happened to Kenzie. He touched her and sighed. "Well I made the promise." He says the spell of reincarnation and points at Kenzie. "I literally made a promise like two minutes ago about her dying."

Kenzie sits up. She blinks, staring up at you. "Thank you." She whispers, getting up. She seems more quiet and less outgoing than she used to be. The paths split.

Kain

"I promised you I would so why would I break that?" He grabbed her hand and dragged her down the left path, in hope to find clean, fresh, water.

"Because I'm hardly any help?" Kenzie suggests.
You find water alright. And a water horse also known as a Ceffyl Dwr. The horse doesn't seem threatening, it's taking a drink from the river currently and hasn't seemed to notice you yet.

Kain

"You killed a manticore singlehandedly! Sure, it was my idea for you to bite it, but you did it! You aren't useless, I am." He retorted. He goes up to the river, a fair distance from the Ceffyl Dwr.

"If we're arguing about this, you aren't useless, you raised me - and the spider - from the dead. And you came up with the idea for me to bite the manticore, I was just planning on fighting the thing with my fists. And you got both of us past the Sphinx." Kenzie argues.
The Ceffyl Dwr lifts its head to look at you. It snorts before turning its attention to the water again. After it got it's fill, it trots down the path the way you are going.

"Fine, I'm not useless. You're not useless. We all aren't useless!" He put his canteen into the river to fill it up again. "It should be clean water if the Ceffyl Dwr can drink it."

Kenzie nods, taking your word for it. She fills her bottle with water as well, taking a quick drink from the river to sooth her parched throat.
Up ahead the path splits.
Left - regular looking path
Right - regular looking path

"Does it matter which one we take? Because if not let's go to the right." He quickly took a drink from the river before walking down the right path.
