i'll edit this as i find more while digging through my faelora, but these are faelora who can regen but will lose a trait because the current locked trait will not allow the regeneration of a former recessive/hidden trait.

This pet was a 4vis with 1 hidden trait, however the hidden trait moved to a different slot and can't be regenerated as a carried nor as a hidden. I can pick another G1, but I entirely lose the trait it used to have.

I'm less nitpicky about this one because I don't mind losing Skeletal, but G1 loses Skeletal entirely because I can't pick it as a visible or as a carried.
It also loses its original M1 (moved to M2) Autumn Flower carried because it can't be picked as a hidden trait.

I just ran a large script to address exactly this issue.

Let me know if some of the pets still are having Re-Gen issues. But taking a quick look, it looks like my script addressed the issue with your list.

So this might have been an issue fixed with my latest script update.

I tried Re-Gen'ing your pet myself and it worked. So I set the Traits to what you had in your screenshot. If you want me to revert this, let me know.

I reset it so you can still go and change all of its colors.

Let me know if you have anymore issues.

*I had a lot of these, actually, but I wasn't looking for losing individual traits at the time. Instead I was tracking for if a pet could acquire its full number of recessives, and for most of my own pets I could put a recessive trait elsewhere to meet the number. It was only later when I noticed I was losing traits that I took this into account and started to track.

2) Sometimes I'm stuck losing a restricted trait entirely, because TWO restricted traits are moved as hiddens for the same slot, and I can only keep one. Not exactly a bug, I guess, but it does suck since these traits take extra steps to acquire at all...

Not sure if this is intentional, so figured I'd mention it, but it looks like the color swing is significantly worse with this regen versus all of the previous ones. I'm hesitant to stray from my less picky blues given how bad a couple of my test runs went. Glad I did a couple test runs before doing a few I actually want to keep.

Yes, i noticed the color swing too and was disappointed since i copied and pasted the exact colors i wanted and it went wrong.

this one also is a little funky. she originally had M1 spooky branches and M2 vine flowers and lucky dust, but Lucky Dust (her only remaining M2) can't be visible and i cant set her to M1 Spooky Branches with Vine Flowers carried even though i am left with 1 trait point extra.

In the last two days, I have made a lot of changes to Faelora Re-Generations. This has been done both to some of the rules of what players can do and also manually updating existing Faelora Re-Generation options in mass. You can read more about all of the specific changes in the Official Changelog.

I feel that these changes should address the vast majority of all existing Faelora. In other words, I think like 99% of existing Faelora are either set exactly as they should be, the options exist for players to set them exactly as they should be, or there are fair compromises available in most situations where it isn't feasible to updating a Faelora to exactly the combination it had before the revamp. Unfortunately, just not everything is going to be possible when Traits move to different slots, get spliced up, etc.

If at this point I've missed a fixable situation, please let me know. Otherwise, if you are having any specific issues with specific combinations of Re-Gen Traits, I think it's best suited just to send me a PM at this point and I will assist through admin intervention.


Keep in mind that we have worked really hard from revamp to revamp to improve this process. For those of you who were around for the early ones, you guys had very little options available to you lol. For most revamps, Hidden Carried Traits were just chopped off entirely with no option to put them back, for example.

With every revamp, we are always trying to improve the process and toe the line of what's fair and not overburdening players by having to Re-Generate every existing pet on the site (aka, Nytekrie lol).

So, just to reiterate, if all of my adjustments to this point still are not satisfactory to your beloved pet(s) or projects, toss me a PM and I'll see what I can do to help you. It most likely is just going to have to be a custom tailored solution as there just is no way for me to implement some sort of global fix for your situation.


Thank you to everyone for your patience during revamps. It's a lot of very complicated work and it's never going to be perfect. It's just impossible to change things in the way that we often change things and have everyone be satisfied with the new adjustments. Additionally, it's basically impossible to foresee every single Trait conflict ahead of time. The amount of Trait combinations is in the tens of thousands at minimum. We try and do the best we can by outlining general rules and such, but there's always scenarios that slip through.
