The Rainmaker Gene

First time trying this and sorry for horrible quality, using paint. This is based off lightning in spring thunderstorm clouds. It's supposed to look like cloud to cloud lightning going through the foggy parts. Um, I guess I'll call it Lightning Storm. XD

We have a brand new scanner and I don't know how to use the darn thing so it cut out all of my descriptive details. So I will type them out below...




I call this Seashell Saddle Mutation

Mutation 1 Slot

The shells dangling from the sides of the saddle are Conch, Clam, Cone, and Tulip shells.
In between each string of shell or shells is a string of pearls. Sort of an alternating design.

Around the neck is a large shiny pearl.

Around the ankles are pearl bracelets

Around the tail is a large string of pearls


I thought about also adding a Seashell and Pearl crown but I think that would be better suited as a whole separate mutation under the Mutation 2 slot.

Vuylnyx Cape

Wow there are so many cool ones I like- the Griffi wings esp. The melting one was a super idea! So, I'm just gonna say how much I like all of these designs instead of trying to come up with something unique to add.

Spring Rider drawn on Lighira, but I guess this could fit on anything that can have a saddle!

^{At first, I was thinking of Qitari braids in their hair, with like feathers/leaves braided in. Then people in the skype group I'm in were talking about how Ny'vene should have saddles. I thought about doing a saddle for them, but...I can't really see it, with the way their wings and poses are. So I did Lighira. Lots of mane to work with. c:}

Kinda got inspiration for the Regalia-like saddle design from Moroccan saddles. Then I was looking at Griffi, and realized they had no saddle. xD
Features include:
-Mane/Tail Braids (or feather plumes for the female!)
-Regalia/Saddle with feathers beaded down
-Anklets, because the Griffi's Regalia had anklets and it looked cool on them. xD Maybe nixing anklets would be good here...
-Spring-themed design on the regalia/saddle? I went with a flower with nature rune-esque lines.
-Lots of colors. LOL (It uses many, I know, I just wanted it to look pretty and diverse orz)

It looks pretty cluttery, though I would like to think that braids and feathers would be totally cool on the Lighira. c: Especially braids.
And if the Lighira can have a better mutation, perhaps this idea can be passed on in other pets. I see usages of beads and feathers and petals, and I like em thus far. c:

I understand this is for the spring event, but even though spring is near, it is still negative something degrees outside my house. So in my mind, that means animals still have their winter coats. My mutation is a winter/spring coat for the Zolnixis. I picture them with some extra furriness (sort of like Tundra Fur on Vulnyx) on their legs, tail, and chest. I hope this could be the second mutation in the 1st mutation slot.
