You need to wait until they grow into adolescents and then you can explore/send them on missions to level them up.

I think its a weird question myself but I want to be certain:
When you hatch an egg you get two option, to help break egg or let egg hatch - Is there a difference between the two, will it have any effect on the sylesti that hatches?

Question 2: Can I use more then one philter on my eggling?

Help egg break will give a bonus to its health. Let egg hatch will give it a bonus to a random stat. And I believe you can only use one philter on your eggling.

What happens when the food supply for Sylesties run out? I remember reading in the tutorial that they will starve, but what is the solution and will they die?

When the sylesti's individual food bar drops to 0 and isn't fed, they will become "malnourished" and a picture of a chicken with a cross on it will appear on it's window in your stable. I think you won't be able to use the pet to fight unless you feed the pet.

You can feed your pets by putting food in the food supply, which replenishes your pets at midnight server time based on how hungry they are. You can also feed them individually by going to their pet page and clicking to feed them.

How do you get more Scales?

Quick question about genes. If a pet is carrying a gene, will it show up in the info when they become hatchlings, adolescences, or adults? Or is the only way to find out through a genetic scanning/test kits?

You can get more scales by nurturing pets (by going to your hatchery and clicking nurture hatchlings, or just click pictures of hatchlings and eggs on their pages).

Nope, you'll only see them with the testing kit.

In that case, one more question~ Can the standard genetic test kits you get as freebies be bought anywhere, apart from other players? Or is the one in the diamond shop the only one that can be bought?
