Like many others, I'm feeling the tropical beach motif and went with what I call Coral Adornments for Mutation 3:

Very vague, but the idea is there!
There are three different colors involved, with the darkest being the band on the bottom half. But frilled lizard Ny'vene mutation! They live in warmer climates and for some reason just make me think of summer and warmth in general. :3

I designed a simple sun armor for the aeri. Since they dont have a lot of armor or apparel type mutations, i figured a nice summery armor would be nice on them.

This is my rose vine wings design

I guess I'll call this Elegant Fins. Though I admit my drawing doesn't look that elegant. I'm just not very good at fins I found out. I tried to use the shape of the ear fins that nephini already have to inspire the rest. I think that parts of the fins could be a bit transparent. They could also be two color. One color towards the base and shifting to another color towards the end.

Gills - not necessary but I threw them in just because.
Dorsal Fin -I tried very hard to base this on the head fins that the nephini already has
Pectoral Fin - Naturally paired but I only drew one as I think that's the only one that would be visible.
Pelvic Fins - The two fins hanging sorta around the belly. I wanted to try to make them and the pectoral fin long and I'd want to see them as graceful.
Anal Fin - I tried to make this long and graceful but I wasn't sure what to do with it and how I did the caudal fin.
Caudal Fin - I was trying to see how it'd look if it started somewhere further back on the fin and then became longer as you reached the end. I kinda wonder if this should be done differently. I wanted the tail to be long and flowing. I think it should be the big focal point of the mutation. I realized with making it a bit like a long goldfish tail that the limited space problem along the sides could be avoided.

I seriously LOVE the idea of those Neph fins, I hope that gets selected! ^^

Lotus Tail for the Aeridini:






In ancient Egypt the lotus was a symbol of the Sun. When I think of summer I think water and the beautiful flowers that bloom during the season, but I also think about the sun.



I know that my drawing isn't the best, but it's got the idea there I think. Is also like to point out that some lotuses have faded/defused colors while others are only one color. I think that my lotus tail mutation would look awesome with my triple fade gene idea.

Basically there are the sea shells and the little bead like objects are supposed to be pearls.
