Samhein Ryori
I drew inspiration for this from the Gaelic festival Samhein, which falls on the 31st of October and goes until the 1st of November. It was believed that during Samhein, spirits could more easily enter the living world and the souls of the dead would revisit their homes, which was the basis for the horns and skeletal armour on the Ryori. People would light bonfires during Sanheim that were believed to have cleansing and protective powers, hence the red fiery look I went for with this Ryori. The brown, red and yellow colours also represent the changing of the colours of leaves during Autumn.

My ryori is based on scary stories at midnight. I mean whats Halloween without some fright. Oh and its a full moon how interesting.
